Unstable GroundBALLSTON SPA – Brookside, home of the Saratoga Coun-ty Historical Society, is excited to announce that “Unstable Ground,” an art exhibition on loan from the Frances Young Tang Museum at Skidmore will be on display at Brookside through June 25 during open hours. “Unstable Ground” is a project completed by Skidmore’s Nicholas Liu-Sontag and Karen Kellogg, Associate Professor of Environmental Stud-ies. Both worked together during the summer of 2010 to com-pare early 20th century photographs of areas around Saratoga Springs with contemporary photographs taken from the identi-cal point of view. Litter ControlBALLSTON SPA/HALFMOON – After The Fire, Inc. has ad-opted the Assemblyman Jim Tedisco Fitness Trail in Ballston Spa for litter control since 2006. Members Kathleen Koines & Kathy Hedgeman made their fi rst trip recently. The trail will be maintained on a regular basis by various members. Bags have been attached to benches at each end of the mile-long round trip trail, and one midway on a fence. Users of the trail are urged to either carry out their litter or use the litter bags, as a cour-tesy to others and to obey the law. After The Fire, Inc. helps residents of Saratoga County who have suffered a loss due to fi re. Anyone interested in helping their neighbor in need may attend a meeting.
