The higher numbers prompted a temporary hold on Mantokuji’s series of Rummage and Plant Sale fundraisers in August. Much work in preparation for the sales has already been completed, so now we wait to see if and when the sales can be rescheduled. Please check our website: http ://paiamantokuji.org for rescheduling updates. Mahalo for all of your generous donations and for the many, many hours of volunteer work to process, price, and set up all the items. We will be ready when circumstances permit. Reverend Hirosato Yoshida of Soto Mission of Hawaii, Nuuanu, wil be here on Sunday, September 12 to conduct the Autumn O-Higan and Ryosoki service at 10:30 am. Autumn O-Higan & Ryosoki ServiceYou are cordially invited to attend the Autumn O-Higan and Ryosoki Service on

Sunday, September 12 at 10:30am

The O-Higan Service is to honor our departed loved ones and also an occasion to review the six paramitas that weuse as our guidelines for a healthy peaceful life.

The Ryosoki ceremony is a memorial service honoring the two founders of Soto Zen Buddhism in Japan, DogenZenji and Keizan Zenji. The official day of the Ryosoki is September 29 as both founders had passed around thistime.

For the health and safety of our church community, and our immune compromised members, we'd like to limitattendance to only vaccinated people. Please call 808.579.8051 to let us know you are coming as seating is limiteddue to the current COVID restrictions.

Rummage & Plant Sale in August has been POSTPONED until further noticeWe were so excited to have the Rummage & Plant Sale in August for the community. However, with the increase ofCOVID infections on Maui and statewide, restrictions on gatherings, even at places of worship, we had no choicebut to postpone the Sale. We are ready to have it as soon as restrictions and numbers allow us to do so. We will letyou know through the Maui News, radio ads and our website when the Sale is scheduled again.
