• Men remove your hats upon entering the church.

• Genuflect (bend at your knees) in respect towards the Altar, where the tablernacle is located, upon entering & exiting the church. If physically unable to do so, respectfully lean your body/head or the best gesture possible to show respect.

• Upon entering & exiting the church, use the holy water to make a sign of the cross on

yourself.

• Wait for the priest & his sacristans (helpers) to exit the church prior to your exit.

SHARING YOUR FAITH Question: My friend has never heard of Christ and I want to share the Gospel with her but I'm afraid to. How do I share my faith? Answer: There are a lot of ways to bring up the topic of region, without being judgmental or pushy. Begin by asking what her thoughts are about religion, or what her experience was growing up. Finding common ground is often easier than you think, be-cause the questions and problems we have about God, the presence of evil, our purpose in life, and our relationship with God are universal concerns. Why are you afraid? If you do not want to insult or offend someone, don't be pushy or judgmental. If you are uncertain about how to explain your own faith, do a little reading or practice with a friend. If you measure success only by this person converting, focus your attention more on beginning the conversation, not on bringing it to a perfect close! Faith is a journey of many acts of belief, many discussions about God, and many choices about how we practice what we preach. In some we will have great success; in others we will need forgiveness and perseverance. The most important thing to keep in mind is that the Holy Spirit is always at work and our most humble efforts can bear great fruit. Have faith in God because he has faith in you! ©LPi

Comience por preguntarle cuáles son sus pensamientos acerca de la religión, o cuál fue su experiencia al crecer. Encontrar un terreno común a menudo es más fácil de lo que piensas, porque las preguntas y problemas que tenemos sobre Dios, la presencia del mal, nuestro propósito en la vida y nuestra relación con Dios son preocupaciones universales. ¿Por qué tienes miedo? Si no quieres insultar u ofender a alguien, no seas agresivo o crítico. Si no está seguro acerca de cómo ex-plicar su propia fe, lea un poco o practique con un amigo. The 2021 Franciscan Festival of Fine Arts

When: Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th of September Where: Holy Cross Retreat (HCRC) 600 Holy Cross Rd. Mesilla Park, NM 88047 The Festival is sponsored by the HCRC to promote appreciation for fine artists & their work. All participants are approved by a committee with a desire to present the highest quality arts. All proceeds from the festival support the activities of the HCRC. The Festival will also feature an enchilada dinner & other food vendors, a silent auction, a raffle, live music on 2 stages, and a beer/wine garden.
