REVOLVING LOAN FUND HELPS LOCAL PROJECTS Ryan Euliss is the Chief Financial Officer for Boone Electric. One of the programs under his direction is the Revolving Loan Fund (RLF). The RLF was established to provide a local funding source to assist with local economic and community development projects. Priorities of the fund include job creation and retention, diversification of the local economy, improving the skills of the rural workforce, and upgrading the public infrastructure to improve the health, safety and/or medical care of rural residents. The fund is administered by the Boone Electric Cooperative Board of Directors who review and select applications for funding. The initial RLF funds were provided to Ryan Euliss & Jim Robertson the Centralia R-VI school district to purchase an HVAC system. Eligible applications for RLF funding include organizations involved in community or economic development projects. Applications can include new or expanding private businesses, local governments or non-profit community development organizations. Uses for the funds could include land purchase, buildings, fixed assets, machinery/equipment, infrastructure, residential housing projects or medical facilities. Ineligible uses of RLF funds include residential housing, pre-development costs, refinancing of existing debts, illegal activities, projects which have alternative sources of financing at reasonable rates, loans for agricultural production costs and projects with no supplemental financing. The minimum loan amount is $25,000, and the maximum loan amount is $360,000. For more information about Boone Electric or the RLF program visit http://booneelectric.coop/.
