Toddler Creative Movement!

Toddlers(2-4) & Parents. In our creative movement classes we use our imagination to help us hop like a frog, walk like a bear, sing and dance even take a ride on an animal train! While we have such fun, our little ones fall in love with the idea of movement and exercise! Minimum of 6 Participants Registration Deadline: 1 week before class start Wednesdays 9:30-10:00am Fall Session 3: 11/17-12/15 (No 11/24) Winter Session 1: 1/5-1/26 Session 2: 2/2-2/23

Youth Programs Toddler Programs

Toddler Dance Class Ages 3-5 and Parents. In our YR Dance! classes your child will learn the basics of dance styles like ballet and jazz. Your child will explore creative movement using their imagination, balance and coordination to express themselves. Combining the two makes for a great use of your child’s energy and a lot of fun! Home Alone Safety Class Ages 8-11. Learn the basics of being safe when home alone for short periods of time. We’ll talk about how to answer the telephone and door, internet safety, first aid techniques, accident prevention and fire protection and more will be discussed. Youth will have a better understanding of responsibility & independence. This is an interactive class. Bring a snack and water. Each student will receive a handbook. Instructor: Jackie Ward Registration Deadline: 3/2 Minimum of 8 students/Max of 15. Wednesday March 9th 3:30-5:30pm Fee: Res: $35 NRes: $40 Heron Pond Cafeteria

Safe Sitter: Babysitter Training Course Ages 11-15. This fun and exciting course teaches sitters the importance of their job responsibilities. Topics include accident prevention, proper play and interaction with children of all ages, problem behavior and CPR introduction! Participants will be prepared to respond effectively in an emergency situation. Prepare your child for increased responsibilities and money earning potential. This is a 1-day (6.5 hour) intensive training course. Please pack a lunch. Safe Sitter course includes training manual and completion card. Shepard Park Public Ice Skating All ages. Enjoy the winter season by gliding around on Milford’s outdoor public skating rink. Weather depend-ent, closings will be posted on Facebook and www.milfordrec.com.

Toddler Play Along!

Toddlers & Parents. This is a great place for parents and toddlers to come play and chat. Lots of toys and open space. Perfect for these winter months. Town Hall 3rd Fl. Auditorium. Minimum of 5 Maximum of 15 Tuesdays 10:00-10:30 Res $15 NRes $20 Winter Session 1 : 1/18-2/8 Registration Deadline: 1 week before class start

Let’s Go Ice Fishing with NH Fish & Game Ages 8+. Ice fishing is a recreational activity the whole family can enjoy. This introductory course will cover tip ups and other ice fishing equipment, ice safety, knot tying, fish identification, ethics, rules and regulations, and basic winter ecology. After completing a classroom session you'll head out on the ice and put your newly learned skills to the test. Minimum of 8 participants needed. Pre-registration is required. THIS IS A FREE PROGRAM! Registration Opens 12/15 Classroom Session: 1/13 5:30-8:00pm Milford Town Hall Banquet Hall Field Trip: 1/15 9am-1pm, location TBA NOTE: Individuals 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must complete classroom time to attend field trip.

Beginner Family Archery

Ages 8-104. Expect to learn and or sharpen your skills, as you experience the magic sound of hitting the target. Start on your journey to be like the Night of Old with this ancient sport that allowed humans to hunt without having to fist fight a saber tooth tiger. It’s time to let go of the string and stress for an hour as you experience this ancient sport. Form and safety will be emphasized. Honor, Respect and Kindness are expected while on the archery range. Min: 5 Max: 10 Location: Town Hall Auditorium. Thursdays 3:45-4:45pm and 5-6pm Winter Session 1 1/13-2/3 Fee: Res:$75 NRes:$80 Registration Deadline: 1/6

Forest Therapy Ages 18+ . Join Forest Therapy Guide Laura Putnam for a slow guided wander in the woods. Forest Bathing, which originated in Japan, has been proven to reduce blood pressure, increase immunity, improve focus and creativity, and is becoming increasingly popular in the US. This class is designed to open each of the senses and create space for connection and interactive experience with the forest. Part guided meditation part nature walk, this class is for everyone, regardless of fit-ness level. Dates: 2/12, 2/26 Time: 10am-11:30am Sign up for each class individually Min: 4 Max: 8 Registration Deadline: 1 week before each class Fee: Res: $15 NRes: $20 Location: Monson Center

Adult Programs Tai-Chi/Qigong Foundations This class covers qigong/tai chi fundamentals of breath work, movement, posture alignment, and visualization. Consistently practicing these gentle, meditative movements improves balance, coordination, flexibility, strength and mental clarity. Safe and suitable for everyone, all movements can be modified and effectively compliment other health and wellness pursuits. Mondays 6-7pm Town Hall Auditorium Winter Session: 11/1-2/28 (No 11/22, 12/20,1/17, 2/21) Fee: $10 each class / register for each week individually

Therapeutic Seated Yoga

Adults (Recommended 50+) This is a gentle seated yoga practice. It can be done anywhere, no special clothing required other than to be comfortable and loose fitting. People with physical disabilities are encouraged to try this. Moves are done slowly and mindfully. You will have an opportunity to meet the “Faces of Nature” through a dynamic and interactive animal presentation. This program has “Hands on” potential with some of the smaller, interactive, animals.
