Chapter One

%s usual& she's still on her bed. I begin to !al to!ards her and

sit on a chair near her bed.

I smoothed her bangs off her face and issed her forehead. She

opened her ees and as soon as our ees met& her signature grin

is automaticall plastered on her face& and there I see& there is

still that one thing remains.

Her long auburn hair is no! falling.

Her sin is no! paled and bruised.

#he color on her lips had disappeared.

But these phsical changes that happened to her didn't affect ho!her ees glo! and ho! her smile radiates her spirit& her faith&

ho! strong she is to fight this battle. #hat despite !hat she is

going through& she's still the same girl that everone loves.

returned her smile.

($ head still hurts. I'm afraid bad das have come again.( She

said as she tightl closed her ees. I sa! ho! her hands balled

into a fist tring to suppress the pain. I felt m heart

%n hour had passed and her doctor entered the room. She's still

asleep. Her mother returned after getting something for us to

eat.

and I told her to rest so !e can do her !ishlist the next da.

I go home and there I sa! m parents in the sofa& !atching a

movie !hile holding each other hands. #he didn't sa! me because

is so simple but so s!eet. Ho! I !ish the time !ill come I !ill

be having that ind of moment !ith $ira. Ho! I !ish she could

live more and spent more ears !ith me& do happ moments

I tae a bath to feel comfortable and after that I la on m bed.

until vegetables are tender and stir occasionall.

It is not reall hard. I mae it and I am sure I can do it alone.

She said that it is better !ith bagoong so she prepared it

ago but no!& it hurts.

I put some ointments on it and put band aids.

I go to m bedroom and I tae a bath. I la on m bed and I

slept.
