Lincoln Center Free Screenings • Fishersville

Join us for free high-definition viewings from the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

Heritage Blues Trio, 3:30 P.M., Thu., Jun. 8: June is African American Music Month and to celebrate, the

Fishersville Library will be showing a Lincoln Center performance featuring three members of the Grammy-

nominated Heritage Blues Orchestra. This is an intimate performance ranging from upbeat and celebratory

to somber and reflective.

Voices of a People's History of the United States, 12:30 P.M., Wed., Jul. 5: This Lincoln Center commis-

sion commemorates the 35th anniversary of Howard Zinn’s seminal book, A People’s History of the United

States, with music and spoken-word performances that will bring to life the extraordinary history of ordinary

people in the book. Topics include ending slavery and Jim Crow, protesting war, the creation of unions, and

advancing women's and LGBTQ rights.

Sinatra - A Voice for a Century, 3 P.M., Thu., Aug. 10: The New York Philharmonic celebrates the legacy

of Frank Sinatra in an all-star concert hosted by Seth MacFarlane, with performances by Christina Aguilera,

Chris Botti, Fantasia, Sutton Foster, Kyle Dean Massey, Bernadette Peters, Billy Porter and Sting.
