Monash University Foundation Year (commonly known as MUFY) is a pre-university program that prepares international students for entry to any Monash University degree.

Course structureFoundation Year is offered in three formats – Standard, Intensive and Extended. This flexibility enables students to complete the program in the most appropriate time and to be grouped with other students of similar academic and English language abilities.

To successfully complete the program all students must pass a minimum of eight units.

Advanced Mathematics

If you are considering a university course with a high mathematical component, Advanced Mathematics will help you prepare. Extend your knowledge through the study of complex numbers, matrices and linear algebra, vectors, circular and inverse circular functions, differential calculus, differential equations, kinematics, and vector calculus.

Monash College Diplomas offer specialist preparation for direct entry into your chosen Monash University degree.

Choose to study art and design, arts, business, IT or engineering.

Course structureMonash College Diplomas are in two parts, Part 1 and Part 2 – each lasts eight months#. You may enter the program at Part 1 or Part 2 depending on your qualifications and results. The Diploma program has been specifically developed with Monash University faculties and academic staff to prepare you for success in your destination degree.

Diploma Part 1Diploma Part 1 is designed for students who have completed Australian Year 11 or its equivalent. Unlike a general Year 12 qualification, our diplomas let you specialise in the subjects that are most relevant to your destination degree.

After achieving the required marks in Diploma Part 1, you can either enter the first year of a linked undergraduate degree at Monash University or complete the Diploma Part 2.

Diploma Part 2During Part 2 you will study the same curriculum and complete the same assessments as first year university students, with the added support of the College environment.
