In their continued efforts to make New York Islandersgames the premier destination for Long Islandfamilies, the Islanders are offering a lower level

season ticket for young fans that will cost just $10 a game.

Not surprisingly, in the first month since its introduction, this offer has become a hot ticket.

"The NYI365 KIDS SEASON PASS came about after(owner) Charles Wang made it clear to us in our off-seasonmeetings that our organization has three primary goals,"said Chris Dey, Islanders Senior Vice President of Sales,Marketing and Operations. "Our goals are for Islandersgames to be the number one entertainment option for LongIsland families, to pack the Coliseum for every game and -it goes without saying - to bring the Stanley Cup back toLong Island."

The one-of-a-kind NYI365 KIDS SEASON PASS givesyoungsters 42 games of the best Rick DiPietro, the Islandersand the NHLhave to offer - including 4 games versus SidneyCrosby and the Penguins, as well as 4 games each against theRangers, Devils and Flyers.

Islanders fans ordering one full adult season ticket at theclub's already discounted prices can reserve the seat next tothem for a child 12 years and younger for the 2007-08season for just $420. Tickets are currently available indesignated family sections comprised of lower level seatsat the Coliseum.

Even the NHL commissioner was excited by the Islanders'initiative to bring hockey to more families in New York.

"We applaud the Islanders for an innovation thatencourages families and young people to attend ourgames,” said NHL commissioner Gary Bettman. “Thisinitiative presents an opportunity to share the excitement ofNational Hockey League action with even more fans.”

Since the NYI365 KIDS SEASON PASS is for children 12years of age or younger, tickets will be exclusivelydesigned and coded for children. In addition, there will be aseparate entrance for families with the pass to enter NassauVeterans Memorial Coliseum on game days.

"Of course, we want to see all kinds of fans packing ourgames at the Coliseum," said Islanders head coach TedNolan. "But let's face it: there's nothing like a jammed hockeybarn when there are young fans cheering their hearts out. Ilove the fact that Charles is making $10 tickets available forkids. I really hope our fans take advantage of this offer."

The NYI365 KIDS SEASON PASS is available for alimited time only. Fans are encouraged to inquire aboutticket availability as soon as possible because the familysections are expected to sell out quickly.

From parents to wife to children,Captain Bill Guerin looks to his support system for guidance

Almost 16 seasons after making his debut withthe New Jersey Devils during the 1991-92season, Islanders Captain Bill Guerin has more

to worry about than just scoring goals and winningStanley Cups. Approaching 37 years of age, Guerin has awife and four kids, to whom he is extremely devoted. Butit's the relationship and values he learned from his parentsthat Guerin has tried to pass onto his four children.

Guerin grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts lovinghockey from an early age. For as far back as he couldremember, the right wing's father built a makeshift rink inthe backyard so he could practice his hockey skills all dayand night.

Along with the labors of setting up the rink each winter,Guerin's parents were responsible for driving Guerin tohis youth hockey games. And as any hockey parent wouldknow, that included early morning practices any day of theweek.

“My parents were a great support system,” said Guerin. “Iplayed all the time, and they were always right there, making sure I made every practice and game on time.”

Guerin kept up his hockey playing for the love of thegame. His continuing of the sport lay completely in hisown hands.

“I played because I was having fun,” said Guerin. “Myparents never put any pressures on me to keep playing. Idon't think there was ever day I didn't want to be a hockeyplayer and my family always supported me.”

Not only did his parents never push him to pursue hockey, they were also completely positive about hisperformances. You would never hear anycriticism about his game no matter how heplayed.

“My dad would never say anything otherthan how proud he was of me,” said Guerin.“The only time he ever yelled at me was when I wasaround ten because I did something really stupid and gotkicked out of a game. I embarrassed myself and my team. That was the only time. He just wanted me to have fun.”

It was apparent at an early age that Guerin was a skilledhockey player, but his education was also very important

while he was growing up. If there was one thing hisparents did pressure Guerin about, it was his grades.

“They made sure I had something to fall back on,” saidGuerin. “My dad was a big education guy. He made sure Ikept up my end of the bargain by getting good grades.”

Guerin held up his end of the bargain, attending BostonCollege, but after showing exceptional talent whileplaying for the Eagles, he turned pro after two collegiateseasons. Proud of their son's accomplishments, his parentshad no regrets letting their son forego his final two yearsof school to follow his dream.

And on February 20, 1992, at the age of 21, Guerin madehis NHL debut, completing his lifelong goal of reachingthe highest level of hockey. And he wasn't alone. His dadmade the trip out to Chicago.

“It was so great to see my dad out there,” said Guerin. “It meanteverything to me to have him at my first game. My parents stillcome out to see my games. They're still there for me.”

But now Guerin is a father of his own, meeting his wifeKara through a friend during his playing days in New

Jersey. Since their marriage, they've had four kids - Kayla(10), Grace (8), Liam (6) and Lexi (4).

The additions to his family have changed things forGuerin who must now balance hockey with his newresponsibilities.

“When you're playing in the NHL and you're youngwithout children, you pretty much go on your ownschedule,” said Guerin. “You don't think about kids

running around. When you're a young married couple, it'spretty easy and fun. That all changed when we had kids. You have different responsibilities. It doesn't always go assmoothly at home as it once did. Ababy might cry during apre-game nap or the night before a game. You have tothink as a father and not as a hockey player when you're athome. I've always tried to leave the game at the rink, no

matter what. If we lose or I have a bad game, it shouldn'tbe brought home. The kids don't need a grumpy dadaround the house. Despite all the change, it's been great.”

One of the toughest situations hockey families have tocope with is not only their father being away for days andweeks at a time due to the travel, but also the constantmoving. Guerin and his family have had to make anumber of moves because of trades and signingselsewhere.

“It's tough at times, but it's all we know as a family,” saidGuerin. “We all realize that it's not the ideal situation, buthockey has treated us well. We don't take that for granted. It's hard to uproot and leave friends behind, but it becomeseasier each time.”

Guerin insisted that the one person who makes the moveseven easier is his wife Kara. As the wife to a professionalhockey player and the mother of four kids, she has quite ahandful. And Guerin gives her all the credit in the world.

“She's so important to us, I can't even explain,” saidGuerin. “She is our support system. In order to survive, your family has to have a strong wife. She runs a pretty

good ship - knowing their schedules and where they haveto be. She's really got it together.”

With his kids now old enough to understand what he doesfor a living, Guerin can bring them to games so they canwatch him play.

“I can't bring them everyday because they're in school,”said Guerin. “But they come to weekend or afternoongames. My son Liam comes down during the day and I let

him bring his skates. He loves being in thelocker room and saying hi to the guys.”

Like Liam, his oldest daughter Kayla hasalready picked up hockey. Guerin says Liamis having fun with it. “Playing sports is agood way to make friends,” said Guerin.

But like his parents, he just wants his children to have fun.“I want to be like my parents were for me. I never thinkthey play a bad game. I just want them to be happy andhope they love what they're doing.”

This deluge of responses continues to this day, becausewhether they're right here in Nassau County or halfwayaround the globe, Isles fans always have something to say.

I will tell you about my first jersey. In 1974, I was 8 andgrowing up in Saskatoon. The Islanders were loadedwith Sask talent: Bourne, Lewis, Gillies, Trottier, PatPrice. I was an instant Isles fan.

I asked my mom for a #9 Gillies jersey for Christmasthat year. My mom asked me what an Islanders jerseylooked like and I explained to her that it was blue withorange and white striping and a round logo of an islandon it. Five days before Christmas a present under thetree was unmistakably a hockey jersey...I was amped. On Christmas morning, I raced to put on my Islanderssweater (I was going to crush the Leafs that day on thestreet). I tore open the wrapping and found a WinnipegJets jersey. I have to tell you, I snapped. I threw atantrum unmatched in my life. My mother is a toughprairie mother and not moved easily by a kid’s whinytantrum, but she went to the store on Boxing Day andexchanged that jersey for me.

[I’m an Islander because of]... my son’s first Islandersgame!! He is a very shy little boy...He was a bit shellshocked by all the rowdy people but by the end of thegame he was yelling and cheering with the best of them. When Mother's Day came around he had to make me aplaque with his favorite memory with me and it wasthat game. That just said it all.

On July 2nd, 2007, we visited the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. There were tons of Islanders features in the Hallof Fame that brought us great pride, but none more than the section dedicated to the great teams of the late 70's andearly 80's – the Dynasty section. Our family brought Long Island to the Cup. Now it’s time to bring the Cup back toLong Island.

MIROSLAV SATANReflects on his early years in Czechoslovakia“Soccer and hockey were always the biggest sports inCzechoslovakia. The ice hockey World Championship wasclosely followed, especially the games against Russia. Eversince the 1968 Russian invasion, Czechoslovakians reallywanted to beat the Russians, at least in sports. We reallyliked when the Czechoslovakian National Team beat theRussian National Team. One of the most successful years Iremember as a kid was 1985 when Czechoslovakia won theWorld Championship in Prague. I was only ten years old,but it had a big impact on me. Since that day, I dreamed ofmaking it to the National Team and playing hockey.”

“Darius Rusnak was my favorite player on the 1985National Team. He was a centerman and wore number 18. Idon't know if it was a coincidence, but I started wearingnumber 18 as well when I first played hockey. He was areally skilled player, so that's why I liked him the most. I gota chance to play with him when I was 18 years old and firstcoming up with the National Team. It was an interestingexperience. He was a very classy guy and to this day is oneof the most respected hockey players in Slovakia.”

chris SimonDiscusses his junior days“I started playing hockey when I was four or five, andplayed on a team when I was that young. Later, I gotdrafted to the Ottawa 67's in the OHL and from there I gottraded to the Greyhounds of the OHL. I got drafted by theFlyers in 1990 and it's been great from there.”

“I've had a lot of great coaches. I can't pick just one as my mostinfluential. It's no secret that Ted (Nolan) helped me a lot inJuniors, so through Juniors it would have to be him. It's greatto be back playing under him again. In the NHL, I've had a lotof different coaches who have helped me in different ways.”

MIke SillingerRemembers his earliest hockey memories“I was a young kid who loved hockey. From the time I wasthree or four years old I would have my skates put on forme. I picked it up real easy. I would skate around at that ageand stickhandle well. I was fortunate to have natural talent.I wasn't pushed by my parents. It was just something that Iloved. We had a rink right outside our house and I'd put onmy skates and go out and skate. When I was seven or eight,I would play with the ten, 11, 12 year olds. I would comehome every day and go skate. To this day I still love it. I'mfortunate to be successful at it.”

JEFFTAMBELLINIInternational experience“Since my father played in the NHL, I was introduced tohockey very early in my life. I was born near Vancouverand had the opportunity to be around hockey all the time. Ialso lived in Calgary for a short period of time.”

“By the time I was five, my dad moved to Switzerland andAustria to play hockey there, and our family went withhim. I went to an International school for two years. Thefirst year was mainly English, but the second year wespoke a lot of German. I felt like I was stuck in the middleof nowhere being a Canadian kid. But, overall it was agreat experience.”

“I ended up back in Vancouver when my dad worked in theCanucks' front office. He would bring me into the lockerroom and I'd get to skate on the ice for an hour after themorning practices. It was a great experience being a kidand being around the players. Looking back, I reallysoaked it in.”

andyhilbertOn choosing his path"I idolized my older cousin Matthew, and did whatever hedid. That's how I first got into hockey. I started playingwhen I was about three. I played house league up inMichigan and it pretty much snowballed from there.”

"My earliest professional memory was going to seeGretzky and Fuhr with Edmonton when they playedDetroit. I remember bringing my baseball glove to catchpucks, but no luck."

"The most influential coach I had when I was younger wasPat Doptis, who saw that I had some talent and took meunder his wing. He was a great teacher, and made sure thatI didn't get off track."

Imust have been in third grade, maybe fifth. I had neverbeen to a hockey game before. I came home fromschool one day and there was a note left on the table

telling me to get ready because my Uncle Tom had gottenus tickets for the game that night.

The arena seemed bigger than life. I had gotten myselftickets to a playoff game where the Islanders were playingthe Devils. I don't remember much from the actual gameexcept for the energy – the place was charged. The end ofthe game is what turned me completely on to the sport.

The Islanders were winning 7-4 with little time left, whenout of nowhere Pierre Turgeon came flying down the icewith the puck. He pulled up, the crowd hushed, un-phasedhe smiled and lit the lamp. The place erupted. Out ofnowhere a Devil lunged at him sending him across the icein pain. The players on the bench rushed the ice in defenseof their fallen leader. There was a battle on the ice! Thedisplay of heart was inspirational. Even the goalies helpedwith the fight. That was a game I will forever remember.

William DithridgeRocky Point, NY

Iremember it like it was yesterday. My father was ableto get seats in the 200 section behind the Islanders net.It was a company business outing and the person my

father was with assured my father we would go into theIslanders locker room after the game if the Islanders didn'tlose. They were playing the Edmonton Oilers that nightand I looked at my dad and said "How come we can't meetthe players in the locker room if they lose?" My father said"Because Al Arbour will be very loud with his players." Sothe game went on and I loved every second of it. When thegame came to an end I was excited because the Islanders

tied Edmonton. I said "Dad, are we going to meet theplayers?" My father smiled at me and said "Sorry Dan, atie is a loss for these Islanders." It never bothered me thatwe didn't get to meet the Stanley Cup Islanders that night. When I looked back at my missed opportunity, I alwayssay to myself "A tie was considered a loss that night andthat is why they were champions!"

Daniel StegnerNorthport, NY

My life as an Islander fan started during theinaugural season when my friend’s dad tookme to the first “Stick Night.” We went to

celebrate both my friend Ted's birthday and also hisyounger brother Matt's, as they were born on the same day3 years apart. We went on to become the only Islandersfans in a neighborhood of Rangers fans and we remainloyal to this day. The stick was very basic with just thewords New York Islanders on the shaft. I hung it in mybedroom for many years as a kid and it now hangs proudlyin my office among my sports memorabilia. It’s the oldestpiece I have but the one I cherish most.

As one of the most prolific Quebec Major JuniorHockey League players in history, it would havebeen only logical to choose Mike Bossy, if not

first overall, then at least in the top five of the 1977 NHLAmateur Draft. However, that was not the case.

Pegged as a player who had instinctive scoring skills, butlacked the defensive wherewithal, Bossy slipped in hisDraft year. Team after team elected to go with more carefulpicks, and team after team would soon regret theirdecision. The Rangers and Toronto each had two selectionsprior to the Islanders' 15th pick, but that could not swaytheir decision.

Islanders GM Bill Torrey decided to take a chance on the 6-0,185 pound Montreal native, and the gamble paid off. Bossywent on to become one of the greatest goal scorers in NHLhistory, amassing 573 goals in 752 games, far more thananyone else in his draft year. Interestingly enough, the nextclosest 1977 draftee was the Islanders' second pick, JohnTonelli, who totaled 325 goals during his illustrious career.

The brash, young Bossy admitted during his contractnegotiations to have told Torrey that he guaranteed hewould score 50 goals in his first year. True to his word,Bossy became the first player in NHL history to eclipse the50-goal plateau in his rookie season, scoring 53 goals onhis way to the 1978 Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie.

Bossy would go on to record nine straight 50-goal seasons, which is still a record to this day. The Islanders' currentExecutive Director of Corporate Relations would alsorecord four 60-goal seasons, topping out at 69 in 1978-79.

Despite being willing to fight for loose pucks and workhard around the net, Bossy never exceeded 38 penaltyminutes in a season, which earned him three Lady ByngMemorial Trophies. He played the game with as muchgrace as any anyone.

The right wing was no less stellar when it mattered most -the playoffs. Bossy holds the Islanders' all-time record forgoals scored in the postseason with 85, in just 129 games. He was instrumental in the team's four straight StanleyCups, leading the team in goal scoring for the final threeyears, with a consistent 17 in each of those postseasons. His productivity earned him the Conn Smythe Award in1982 as the playoff MVP.

His most memorable series may have come against theBoston Bruins during the 1983 Conference Finals. Bossy ledthe team in that six-game series with 13 points, includingnine goals. Perhaps the most astonishing mark was his fourgame-winning goals, which remains an NHLrecord.

Bossy's clutch goal scoring may never be matched.Whether it was scoring a hat trick to reach 50 goals in 50games during the 1980-81 season or scoring one of his 17game-winning goals in the postseason, the Islanders couldalways rely on Bossy when they needed him most.

His consistency throughout his injury-shortened, ten-yearcareer has led him to claim the highest goal-per-gameaverage in NHL history, making him arguably the greatestgoal scorer of all-time.

Jon Sim joins the Islanders with over 300 games ofNHL experience on his resume. After playing withDallas, Nashville, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh,

Philadelphia, Florida and Atlanta, Sim is looking to settledown with the Islanders after signing a three-year contractover the summer.

Sim brings valuable leadership skills and goal-scoringtalent. During the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Sim spent qualityminutes playing for Philadelphia’s AHL team, thePhantoms and was instrumental in his team capturing theCalder Trophy as the AHL’s champion.

During the 21-game march to the title, Sim led the team inplayoff scoring with ten goals and placed second in pointswith 17. Participating in only 63 regular season games withthe Phantoms that same year, Sim ranked first on the teamin goals with 35 and second in points with 61.

Sim hopes to bring that scoring touch to Long Islandfollowing a career year in the NHL, scoring 17 goals andadding 12 assists in 77 games. We sat down recently withthe new Islander to discuss what he hopes to bring to LongIsland.

What’s the best/hardest thing about changing teams?

The toughest part is picking up and moving. The packing, the traveling and the moving-in are always hassles. But atthe same time, it’s great to meet new people. I’ve nevergone anywhere where I haven’t encountered nice people, and it’s no different with the Islanders.

What type of game do you bring to Long Island?

I like to play with some grit. I’m someone who takes pridein working hard every shift. You could also describe me asfeisty, but at the same time, I like to put some points on theboard. The most important thing is helping the team win.

What do you know about head coach Ted Nolan?

I had never met Ted before, and so far things are goingwell. He really likes to work with the players and thatgarners a lot of respect from them. It’s going to be excitingto play under him for a full season.

You had a career year last season. What was the key to your success?I just worked hard. It also helped that I played with somepretty good players like Ilya Kovalchuk and Marian Hossa. When I got a chance to score, it went in for me. I hope tokeep that up this season.

What have you heard about the Islanders/Rangers rivalry?

It’s probably a great atmosphere. It’s one of the biggestrivalries in sports with the two teams right near each other.

It’s those types of games you love to play in. I’m excited toget out there for the first one.

Do you have any experience playing with anyone elseon the team? How does that help the adjustment?

I played with Andy (Sutton) last year on Atlanta and withFreddy Meyer when I played for the Phantoms. I also spentsome time with Billy (Guerin) in Dallas. It always helpswhen there are some familiar faces because they’re peopleyou can instantly talk to.

Describe the Calder Trophy Championship run.

We had a really good team that year. Guys like Meyer,Umberger, Carter and Richards were on that team. In goalwe had Niittymaki, so we had a good all-around team. Itwas just fun to be playing and not locked-out, sitting athome. It was a great feeling to win a championship. It’salways good to win your final game.

What’s the toughest part about splitting timebetween the NHL and AHL in a given season?

The traveling and changing cities is tough. Even thoughyou are with the same organization, it can feel like you’rebeing traded because you’re living in a new city. It’s hardon you, but at the same time it does have it thrills.

How tough is the Atlantic Division going to be this year?

It’s going to be a very good division. Every game is goingto be a challenge. Because there’s probably going to be alogjam, every game is going to matter. You’re basicallyfighting for the playoffs from day one. It’s going to makefor a fun season.

Congratulations. You did it. You made it through thelong, hot summer without melting.

Maybe you killed some time by watching the Mets orYankees. A trip to the beach may have helped movethings along and, maybe you dozed off while staringat the water, dreaming it would turn to ice.Regardless of how you passed the time, you havesurvived and now that fall is officially here, theleaves are turning. And so is your attention…tohockey.

The tens of thousands of you who've been watching

Islanders TV didn't need to dream of water turninginto ice to get your hockey fix during this pastsummer. In fact, you logged over half a million visitsto “ITV” to view the wealth of video content thechannel has served up over the past few months.

This summer, the ITV crew delivered on a promiseto publish new content every single day. Newfeatures included a two-part Legends show on Hallof Famer Mike Bossy, extended interviews with thenewest Isles Bill Guerin and Mike Comrie, and agreat look at the renovated Islanders team store inHicksville. Islanders TV was all over the NHL Entry

ISLANDERS TV:YOURALLACCESSPASSTOTHETEAMExpanded coverage will keep fans busy all season long

Draft, posting 19 new feature elements in just over24 hours in Columbus. Islanders Prospect Mini-Camp was also swarming with ITV cameras. In fact,36 new features were posted in one week of camp, including player video blogs and behind the scenesaccess to Ted Nolan and Garth Snow's privatespeeches to the players.

Bruno Gervais' Hall of Fame tour, a 3-part series thatdebuted in August, chronicled Bruno's first-ever tripto Hockey's hallowed hall. In September, for the firsttime in team history, the Islanders broadcasted theirpre-season games live on Islanders TV, with fullcommentary from Steve Mears and Billy Jaffe.

All of the new content is on demand by simplytyping a keyword in the search box.

Debuting this fall will be “Ted's Time,” the firstvideo blog from an NHL Head Coach. Nolan willblog into his home video camera once a week duringthe season, talking directly to Islanders fans. Ted is asmart, charismatic and energetic guy, and you won'twant to miss his weekly blog.

All these features are in addition to Islanders TV'sintense coverage of the team during the season, which includes pre-game interviews, gamehighlights, post-game press conferences, “IslandersToday,” and the popular 60-minute version of allIslanders games, “Instant Isles.”

Perhaps the most exciting piece of news thisoffseason was the NHL's new deal with NeuLion, thePlainview-based company that serves as thebackbone of Islanders TV. Using Islanders TV as themodel, the NHL has signed a deal to produce replicaInternet channels for the league and its teams. It'shard to believe, but only one year after ITV's debut, all 30 teams in the NHL will now have their ownversion of Islanders TV. It is our goal to always staytwo steps ahead of the pack, and the ITV crew ofproducers is committed to making it happen.

To get Islanders TV, go to newyorkislanders.comand click on the Islanders TV link. No television orcable box is required. The Islanders have partneredwith NeuLion, who patented a formula forbroadcasting the most crisp internet video you willfind on the web. If there is a one phrase that comes to mind when asked todescribe the type of player that Blake Comeau is, it's“power-forward.” Comeau's no-holds-barred style of

play was on display all last season in Bridgeport where hehad a successful rookie season with the Sound Tigers, registering 12 goals and 31 assists for 43 points in 61 games.

Those numbers earned Comeau a call-up to the Islandershalfway through the season where he played three gamesfor the big club.

“It was unbelievable,” Comeau said. “From the moment Igot the call from coach Nolan, to pulling on the Islandersuniform, to stepping onto the ice for the first game, it allseems like a blur.”

Entering his third training camp with the Islanders, Comeaufelt comfortable knowing he'd completed his first pro seasoncompeting with some of the best players in the world.

With that power-forward label on Comeau's shoulders, hefound the perfect mentor in new captain, Bill Guerin. Guerinis the NHL prototype of a power-forward: a player who isn'tafraid to throw his body around and has recorded over 700points in his career. Throughout camp, Comeau listened veryclosely to some of the tips that Guerin had for him.

“He's been in the league for 15 seasons and scored a ton ofpoints while digging in the corners and delivering big hitsevery night,” Comeau said. “If I could have half the careerhe's had, I'd be thrilled.”

“I was extremely impressed by his play during camp and I'mexcited to see his development,” Guerin said. “He is goingto be a solid player at the NHLlevel for years to come.”

For Comeau, he's at his best when he is delivering hits thatcould register on the Richter scale. Last season, in a gameagainst the Binghamton Senators, Comeau hit a player infront of the scorer's booth so hard that the impact shut offthe computer that controls the scoreboard.

“It definitely energizes our team to raise the level of play. When the guys on the bench see it, they want to getinvolved,” Comeau said. “A major part of any player'sgame is to contribute on the scoreboard, whether it'sputting pucks in the net or keeping them out. I add to mygame that responsibility to lay the body on opponents.”

Comeau's contributions on the scoreboard for the SoundTigers last season were impressive, especially during theteam's second game of the season against their Connecticutrivals, the Hartford Wolf Pack. Comeau scored two goalsand three assists in the Sound Tiger's 6-3 victory, settingthe team record for most points in a game with five. In theteam's season opener in Binghamton, Comeau also set theteam record for most assists in a game with four.

“It was truly unexpected. I wanted to have a good start andbuild confidence early, but to have that success wassomething I hadn't planned on,” Comeau said. “It was niceto jump out to a good start as a team and to contribute inhelping the guys get a win at the start of season.”

Now that Comeau has gotten his feet wet with last year'scall-up to the Islanders, he realizes that he needs toimprove some of the intricacies of his game to take thatfinal step in becoming an everyday player with theIslanders. At the high level of play that the AHL competes,Comeau hopes that he will no longer adjust to thecompetition but rather dominate.

“Having that taste in my mouth is what is driving me tomake it up there for good,” Comeau said. “Completing myfirst season with the Sound Tigers and coming off a greatcamp, I can't wait to continue my development while onthe road to having my name-plate become a permanentfixture in the Islanders dressing room.”

After shattering two Sound Tigers single game records lastseason and learning from one of the best power-forwardsin the game, Comeau seems on his way to realizing hisdream.
