SpiceJet Ltd rose as much as 2.9% after the country’s capital markets regulator settled a case against chairman Ajay Singh over whether he violated disclosure rules when he bought shares from promoters in February 2015. India’s Supreme Court set aside an order by the Appellate Tribunal For Electricity allowing compensatory tariff to Tata Power Ltd and Adani Power Ltd, sending their shares down 12.5% and 4.5% respectively. Shares of Tata Power Ltd and Adani Power Ltd fall after Supreme Court disapproves compensatory tariff to both the companies. Tata Power Co Ltd shares fall 5%, Adani Power Ltd shares fall 12%. Archies Ltd rose 6.1% to Rs35.60. The stock gained for six consecutive sessions and surged nearly 53% in this period. So far this year, it is up 54%. Infosys Ltd rose 1.2% to Rs964.15 ahead of its March quarter earning on Thursday. According to 24 Bloomberg analyst estimates, the company may post net profit of Rs3,564.10 crore, while net sales will be at Rs17,283.70 crore. JM Financial Ltd shares rise 7.5% to Rs105.75 after huge block deal. Around 1.15% stake or 9.16 million shares of the company changed hands in a single block deal. However, details of buyers and sellers were not known. Hindustan Composites Ltd fell 8% to Rs2,168. On 10 April, the company said that it will give free shares for every two held and also to split each share in to two. RBL Bank Ltd hits fresh record high to Rs594.85, up 1.3%. So far this year it gained 70% while since listing it’s up 160%. Avenue Supermarts Ltd rose 1.8% to Rs789.25. The stock trading higher for the fourth consecutive sessions and gained 23.3% in this period. Unitech Ltd rose 5.5% to Rs5.94. A Delhi court granted a three-month interim bail to Unitech Ltd promoters Ajay Chandra and Sanjay Chandra arrested in a fraud case relating to a Gurugram-based real estate project. China stocks reversed earlier losses to end higher on Tuesday, led by the Shanghai benchmark index closing at a 15-month high. Strong gains in stocks related to the Xiong'an New Area underpinned the market, even as investors continued to retreat from smaller-caps over regulatory concerns. The appreciation in the rupee is likely to continue for some time and it is expected to average at 66.2 against the US dollar in the current financial year. Since the start of this year, the rupee has had a steady appreciation in line with other emerging market currencies. FPIs have infused Rs 4,854 crore in the domestic equities so far this month. News: Mytrah Energy plans to use the funds to refinance its debt and provide

Malcolm Turnbull says cooperation between India, Australia in the energy sector has been on an upswing and Australia is looking forward to supply uranium to India very soon.

An infrastructure fund of Australia’s Macquarie Group Ltd has agreed to buy about 330 megawatts (MW) of operational solar assets from power producer Hindustan Powerprojects Pvt. Ltd for an enterprise value of $600 million.

Net inflows in FY17 rose 155.66% from a year before to Rs3.43 trillion, the highest since at least 2005-06 when the equity market was gaining traction. As bank deposit rates fell and stock markets rose, mutual funds in 2016-17 received the highest net inflows in at least 11 years, led by income and liquid schemes.

Currencies

The yen gained 0.3 percent to 110.61 per dollar at 11:24 a.m. in London, strengthening for a second day.

The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index fell 0.2 percent, while the euro rose 0.2 percent.

The British pound was little changed at $1.2423; data showed U.K. inflation’s upward trajectory paused in March.

The MSCI All-Country World Index added less than 0.1 percent. Volumes in markets are down in a week that’s shortened in many countries by Easter holidays.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index rose 0.1 percent and is trading at the highest since December 2015. Futures on the S&P 500INDEX TRADED unchanged. The benchmark gauge climbed less than 0.1 percent on Monday, while the CBOE Volatility Index, or VIX, rose to the highest level this year.

Bonds – Treasuries climbed, with the yield on the 10-year note dropping two basis points to 2.34 percent after a two-point decline on Monday.

The yield on French 10-year bonds increased four basis points to 0.96 percent.

Commodities - West Texas Intermediate oil fell 0.2 percent to $52.96 after jumping 1.6 percent on Monday.

Gold rose for a third day, adding 0.2 percent to $1,257.39 an ounce.

Iron ore futures climbed as much as 1.4 percent in China after dropping 7.1 percent in the previous two sessions, but pared most gains.

Zinc extended its decline, dropping 1 percent amid signs that output is increasing. The London Metal Exchange index of six metals contracts closed Monday at the lowest in a month.

Asia – Chinese equities traded in Hong Kong fell to a one-month low while Japan’s Topix slipped as the yen gained. Shares in Seoul extended the longest losing streak since June as tensions over both Syria and North Korea remain in focus.

Gold and Treasuries strengthened with the Japanese yen on lingering investor caution about global security risks and the path of U.S. interest rates. Crude ended this year’s best run.
