Why OB/GYN Hospitalist Consulting?“OB/GYN Hospitalist Consulting fit our consultative needs perfectly. The combination of experience developing laborist programs and their ability to communicate with our obstetricians made our consultation informative and effective. PRINCIPAL CONSULTANTRob Olson, md, facog

With his extensive knowledge and wide experience, Rob is OB/GYN Hospitalist Consulting’s principal consultant. He has helped set up new programs as well as assisted in turning around struggling programs in various locations across the United States.

Rob is a full-time OB hospitalist, practicing in a community hospital in Bellingham, Washington. After 28 years in a successful solo OB/GYN practice, Rob was drawn to the hospitalist model because it allowed him to focus on labor and delivery. He sees the impact of his choice in improved patient care and safety.

Rob received his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School and completed his residency at Los Angeles County Hospital/University of Southern California. He is board-certified and a fellow in the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, and was the founding president of the newly formed Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists (SOGH).
