What Happened in August?

Finally, in 17th August1945, Indonesia can had a freedom. The independence ofIndonesia can be happende because the effort of Youth in the past to urged The president of Indonesia which is Soekarno to held the ceremony more earlier. and Than the Ceremony could be held in 7th August 1945 in East Pegangsaan Street No. 56 at 10.00 A.M

As we know that, 70 years ago is a day where Indonesia gotfreedom. All the peo-ple in the past tried hard and work together to made this country freedom.

And What Happened in AIESEC UPNVY thisAuguts?

iGCDPThis summer, AIESEC UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta making 3 Projects Based on Exchange (PBOX). It starts from the beggining of June until the middle of the September. One of them already nished, and the other two are still running.

This project is the third time we held it in UPN. One of the characteristic project from UPN since term 13/14. This Project starts from 1st June and ended at 12th July.

The Intern Participants learned the traditional dance and music in Jogja, also the social culture of Jogja itself. And we succesfully closing it with Global Village in the end of the project. Cant wait for Explore Jogjakarta 4.0 with new innovation in next summer !

Yeap like the name of the project, Travelling the time. It means that the Intern Participants in here trying to learn the historical and the art of Indonesia, especially for Jogja itself. This project starts from 29th June, and will be ended at 10th august. This project is still running and we're gonna closing it with the event “Moving School” at Teletubbies Domes in Prambanan later on 9th August.

Time Traveller

This summer we take Healvolution as our national project. This project is aims to reduce diabetes and obesity in childhood. This project starts from 3th August and will be ended at 14th September. Yes this project just began yesterday and we're gonna closing it later with event “Food Culture-Festival” in the end of the project.

iGIP This August, Incoming GIP launch her project ILEA “International Language Executive Academy”.

the new part in this season. As ofcially AIESEC in Indonesia has launched the ILEA (International Language Executive Academy) for this semester. Some LC in Indonesia already runned this program so do AIESEC in UPNVY. Conduct by Incoming Global Internship Program department (iGIP), this program will cooperate with some institution especially in education and language background. This program really suitable with Jogjakarta condition which is full of diversity also curiousity. For the introduction I will tell you a few part. ILEA is the program aimed to delivery global experience in society with education focus. In this program we also will build support team to join with us. For your information, we have cooperate with Australia and some country to make this program happen.

AIESEC has one of the outstanding program called “Global Citizen”. The last program was at April-June 2015 and was named as “Global Youth Ambassador Program” and was under a theme named “Summosphere”. We named the theme like that, because we opened the program at Summer peak in 2015. What is Global Citizen actually? It's a volunteering program to do social project abroad for 6-8 weeks. With various country and various project, you can choose to do the project you want in the country we have partnershipped with. At the last Global Citizen, we opened the opportunity for UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, UMY, SADHAR, and UKDW. We held a place to open a booth so students could apply for this program. One of the student, from Sadhar, got exchanged to Cambodia to do “Education” project, and as her stated, it was a life-time experience.
