28th February 2019 Term 1 Week 5 (Issue No.5)
Dear parents and community members, Voluntary Contributions At the last P & C meeting voluntary contributions for 2019 were set at $50 for 1 child and $100 for 2 or more students. This year the funds will be directed towards purchasing additional play equipment for the playground, including construction and creative play equipment. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or EFTPOS at the office or via our online payment portal. Bus Bay and Carparks Great news this week from the Asset Management Unit. We have been successful in attracting additional funding to be added to our planned maintenance budget and will have the staff carpark, bus bay area and family carpark upgraded. Last year we engaged an independent company to carry out a safety audit and make recommendations. The prime considerations were the safety of students as they move in and out of the school. These recommendations will now be acted upon over the next couple of months. The works may cause some temporary inconveniences but the outcome will be well worth it. The works will cost approximately $180,000.00 Family Conferences Please book your appointment times via the electronic booking system we have set up. Notes went home last week. If you have lost your note or need help with the booking please contact the office. We are aiming for 100% attendance.
