Hello everyone, At Strathfieldsaye Primary School we believe all individuals deserve to have a positive and memorable school experience. With this being one of our major priorities in 2016 Strathfieldsaye Primary School became a KidsMatter school. KidsMatter is a mental health and wellbeing framework which is proven to make a positive difference to the lives of Australian children. As we continue into our KidsMatter journey we are looking to put together our 2017 - 2018 Action Team which play an important role in driving the implementation of this framework. This team will be representative of our school community and will include students, parents, staff and any other interested community members. With several project ideas already underway, we would love your help! As a team we will aim to meet altogether at least once per term, with the opportunity of also attending other Professional Learning Team meetings (these will be held Mondays and Wednesdays after school) and student KidsMatter team meetings at various stages throughout each term. This team offers all parents the opportunity to actively participate in the continued development of whole school wellbeing practices. We are looking to hold our first official KidsMatter Action Team meeting on Thursday 22nd June at 5.00pm and look forward to welcoming many new faces and ideas to our team. We would also like to hear from previous/existing members who would like to continue sharing this journey with us. If you are interested in being part of the 2017 Action Team or would like more information please contact me via my email [email protected] Kind regards, Dee Hocking Kids Matter Professional Learning Team Leader
