Real conspiracies -- in contrast to mere "conspiracy theories" -- have spawned fear, murder, lies, and revolutionthroughout history. Driven by greed, envy, or utopian visions, they reflected the darkness of human nature. No nation orempire has been immune to such intrigue. Betrayal, murder, and convenient wars stain the records of ancient Israel andJudah as well as the history of mighty empires like Assyria, Babylon, Persia, China, Greece, and Rome.[3] The nations ofRenaissance Europe -- always competing for dominion and commercial markets -- were torn by the same human impulses.

More recent conspirators such as Lenin, Stalin, and Mao bound their masses to inflexible Communist standards that bannethe Bible, condemned resisters, and rewarded public torture and murder. Such cruelty would intimidate the masses intocompliance. Hidden behind their atrocities were Western supporters -- including the financial establishments of J. P. MorganCarnegie and the Rockefellers -- which funded revolutionaries and fueled the global vision oftotalitarian control.[4]

Few have done more to expose this global agenda than Carroll Quigley, an influential former history professor at the ForeigService Schools of Georgetown University. You may remember him as Bill Clinton's mentor, honored by his presidential pup

at the 1992 Democratic Convention. Ponder this revelation from his 1300-page report, Tragedy and Hope: A History of theWorld in Our Time:

"There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, tosome extent in the way the radical Right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we mayidentify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any othergroups, and frequently does so. I know of the operation of this network because I have studied it for twentyyears, and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960s, to examine its papers and secret records.... [I]ngeneral my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown...."[5]

Quigley's next page describes the birth ofThe Council of Foreign Relations (CFR). A driving force behind today's globaltransformation, CFR insiders have helped steer the course of the current shift from U.S. sovereignty to a regional union undthe UN (like the European Union) with open borders between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. He writes,

"At the end of the war of 1914 [World War 1], it became clear that the organization of this [secret] system had tobe greatly extended... the task was entrusted to Lionel Curtis who established, in England and each dominion, afront organization to the existing local Round Table Group. This front organization, called the Royal Institute ofInternational Affairs, had as its nucleus in each area the existing submerged Round Table Group. In New Yorkit was known as the Council on Foreign Relations, and was a front for J. P. Morgan and Company.... In fact,the original plans for the Royal Institute of International Affairs and The Council of Foreign Relations were drawnup at Paris [Peace Conference of 1919]."[6]

In other words, this conspiracy was international from the start. And, beginning with the British diamond magnate, CecilRhodes, it was grounded in enormous wealth -- riches acquired through capitalism, not through the global socialism itenvisions for all but the elite. The key players were power-driven bankers, rich corporations, and tax-free foundations thatcontrolled the resources needed to buy the cooperation of publishers, media moguls, educational institutions, and governmleaders across the political spectrum.

According to the book Brotherhood of Darkness by Dr. Stanley Monteith, "J. P. Morgan and his associates financed the

organizations."[7] Political affiliations didn't matter all that much to the elite internationalists who considered themselves abovpolitical and national borders. As Quigley told us, the two main political parties became essentially the same to them:

"The chief problem of American political life...has been how to make the two Congressional parties more nationaland international. The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one,perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academicthinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can 'throw therascals out' at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy."[8]

Both parties used the media to build theperception of opposing positions on key issues, while all the while buildingconsensus on issues that were critical to social change. That's verified in the Congressional Record for 1917, which reportethat "...the J.P. Morgan [banking] interests.... and their subsidiary organizations got together 12 men high up in the newspaworld and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them tocontrol generally the policy of the daily press of the US.... They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25the greatest papers. ...an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information...."[9]

In the early 20th century, such media control was essential to building the needed public support for U.S. participation inWorld War 1. As in the Soviet Union, such propaganda would help prepare the masses for a global managementsystem -- initially in the form of a League of Nations.

"The powers of financial capitalism have another far reaching aim," continued Dr. Quigley, "nothing less than to create aworld system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and theeconomy of the world as a whole."[10]

In 1922, New York city Mayor John F. Hylan described the oppression spread by this treasonous conspiracy:

"...the real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy lengthover city, State and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of self-created screen. It seizesin its long and powerful tentacles our executive officers, our legislative bodies, our schools, our courts, ournewspapers and every agency created for the public protection." [11]

Remember, those "powerful tentacles" would prop up organizations fighting to destroy American freedom. "One of ProfessoQuigley's most shocking revelations," wrote Dr. Monteith, "was the fact that the American Communist Party was partlyfinanced by J. P. Morgan and Company."Quigley continued:

"The chief evidence... can be found in the files of the HUAC (House of Un-American Activities Committee) whichshow Tom Lamont [a senior partner in J.P. Morgan and Company], his wife Flora, and his son Corliss assponsors and financial angels to almost a score of extreme Left organizations, including the Communist Party

itself."[12]

Did the name Lamontring a bell? It should. This year's senatorial primary between two Connecticut Democrats featuredEdward "Ned" Lamont and Joe Lieberman. Lamont won, which came as no surprise to media leaders well familiar with theLamont legacy. For Ned's great-grandfather was the billionaire Thomas Lamont, chairman ofJ. P. Morgan.

Corliss Lamont, son of Thomas and Ned's grandfather, was trained for his role as conspirator at Harvard, Oxford andColumbia University. His roommate during his studies at Oxford University was the Fabian (global) Socialist, Julian Huxley,brother of Aldous and the first Director-General of UNESCO. In his 1946 book, UNESCO: Its purpose and Its Philosophy,Huxley exposed some of the psychosocial strategies that would conform the minds of the masses to planned community. Hesuggested,

"...taking the techniques of persuasion and information and true propaganda that we have learnt to

apply nationally in war, and deliberately bending them to the international tasks of peace, if necessaryutilizing them -- as Lenin envisaged - to 'overcome the resistance of millions' to desirable change. Thetask before UNESCO... is single. The task is to help the emergence of a single world culture...."..at the moment, two opposing philosophies of life confront each other.... You may categorize the twophilosophies as two super-nationalisms, or as individualism versus collectivism... or as capitalismversus communism, or as Christianity versus Marxism. Can these opposites be reconciled, thisantithesis be resolved in a higher synthesis? I believe not only that this can happen, but that, throughthe inexorable dialectic of evolution, it must happen...."[13]

At Columbia, Corliss studied under humanist professor, John Dewey [see Chronology of the NEA]. He received his Phin 1928. In his thesis he denied the existence of God and tried to disprove both Biblical truth and the validity of hopin eternal life. If his goals sound similar to Communist aims, remember that one aim ofbrainwashing was toeradicate all Christian hope of eternal life, so that the hope of the masses would be focused on Communist ideologConsistent with his socialist philosophy, Corliss chaired the National Council of American-Soviet Friendship, a spin-off from

Communist-leaning organization to the House Un-American Activities Committee. [14]Apparently Corliss Lamont was following his family legacy. According to Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution by AntonyC.Sutton,

"...there is evidence of transfers of funds from Wall Street bankers to international revolutionary activities. Forexample, there is the statement (substantiated by a cablegram) by William Boyce Thompson a director of theFederal Reserve Bank of New York, a large stockholder in the Rockefeller-controlled Chase Bank, and afinancial associate of the Guggenheims and the Morgans that he (Thompson) contributed $1 million to theBolshevik Revolution for propaganda purposes...."Of all American business leaders, the one who most vigorously patronized the cause of Fascism wasThomas W. Lamont. Head of the powerful J.P. Morgan banking network, Lamont served as something of a

business consultant for the government of Fascist Italy. Lamont secured a $100 million loan for Mussolini in1926 at a particularly crucial time for the Italian dictator. We might remember too that the director ofGuarantyTrust was the father of Corliss Lamont, a domestic Communist." [15]

Like Julian Huxley, the Lamonts seem to have embraced a notion that is now becoming increasingly acceptable toRepublicans as well as Democrats: A merger of Communism and Capitalism into a "Third Way" orCommunitarianismThe latter is built on a partnership between the public sector (government), private sector (business) and social sector(churches, charities, community groups, etc.). In this convenient communitarian system, capitalism would encouragecommerce and wealth, but the state (regional or world government) would control everything!It's happening already! The government (national, regional or world) now sets intrusive standards and measures performanthrough continual assessments. Deviation from the planned norms will require remediation. Such standards and assessmenare being applied to the beliefs and values of American children! [16]

Do you wonder where our God fits into this conspiracy?

Remember, the biggest obstacle to Fascist, Communist or Communitarian triumph is Biblical Christianity! Of course, today'politically correct, non-offensive, service-oriented "Christianity" -- with its dialectic leadership training and postmodern view oGod's Word -- fits right in.

But God's unchanging, uncompromising Word can never be squeezed into the mold of the world. It doesn't fit the vision ofpluralistic communitarianism. It clashes with the notion of global solidarity. That's why Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Hitler kilmillions of faithful Christian disciples. God's Word is simply too "offensive" and "divisive" to totalitarian rulers who demandloyalty to their own ideals rather than to God. So the psalmist asks,

"Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?

The kings of the earth set themselves -- and the rulers take counsel together,Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,'Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.'" Psalm 2:1-3

Part 2 will give an answer to that question. It will provide more evidence for today's global conspiracy, show how Islamicterrorism helps the overall agenda, and take an encouraging look at God's sovereignty. Remember, our God reigns -- nomatter how dark the world!

Infiltration and deception have been tools of conspirators through the ages, and the Church has been a primary target! Afterall, God warns us that "the whole world is under the sway of the evil one." (1 John 5:19) One of his most effective schemes ito redefine God's Word and divert Christians from His unchanging Truth to man's shifting ideals.

For example, God calls us to serve the poorand fills our hearts with love for the needy. That's why His true followers aroundthe world have willingly given their lives to share His truth and love in perilous places. But today's world-centered church

illustrates a different kind of service. Designed to please man rather than God, it trains its servers to hide the "offensive" trutof the gospel.

Like Rick Warren, it uses the Bible to validate its purposes but emphasizes organizational behaviorrather than Biblical belie-- in short, deeds instead of creeds.[3] Behind its noble appearance hides a postmodern version of the century-old "ChristianSocialism."

The Social Gospel, Councils of Churches, and Fabian Socialism

Called "Father of the Social Gospel," Walter Rauschenbusch (1861-1918), grew up in a German Lutheran immigrant family New York. He studied theology at the University of Rochester, one ofhundreds of educational and "Christian" institutionsfunded by John D. Rockefeller. After pastoring a Baptist Church among poor immigrants in New York City for a few years, hjoined the faculty at Rochester Theological Seminary -- also funded by Rockefeller. In 1902 he became its Professor of

Church History.

From this prominent platform, he wrote books such as "Christianizing the Social Order" and "A Theology for the SocialGospel."[4] Steeped in "higher criticism" and socialist ideology, he taught what many considered a more relevantandcompassionate gospel. As a result, he "changed both the emphases and the direction of American Protestantism."[5]

Rauschenbusch introduced Jesus "not as one who would come to save sinners from their sins but as one who had a 'socialpassion' for society."[6] He and his comrades established the "Brotherhood of the Kingdom," which unified like-minded churcleaders under a common socialist quest for an earthly "Kingdom of God."

Their plan would have fit our times! It called for political reform, ecumenical unity, "Social Justice" and global peace. To justits place in "Christian" theology, words like redemption and regeneration were redefined to fit their socialist ideals. [7]

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Popular church leaders use the same strategy today! Pastor Brian McLaren's recent book, TheSecret Message of Jesus, twists God's Word into an endorsement of an earthly, interfaith Kingdom.[8] Likewise, Tony

"The gospel is not about... pie-in-the-sky when they die.... It is imperative that the up and coming generationrecognize that the biblical Jesus was committed to the realization of a new social order in this world....Becoming a Christian, therefore, is a call to social action."[9]

In 1907, Rauschenbusch met with the leaders ofFabian socialism in England, Sidney Webb and Beatrice Potter Webb. Unlimpatient Marxist revolutionaries, the methodical Fabians emphasized peaceful transformation through propaganda andinfiltration ofuniversities, seminaries and churches.

Through the years, this socialist movement grew to include Bertrand Russell, H. G. Wells (who wrote Open Conspiracy),playwright George Bernard Shaw, Sinclair Lewis, Theosophical leaderAnnie Besant, and the Communist leader Harry DextWhite who worked withAlger Hiss to establish the United Nations.[10] It spread through Western nations -- thanks, in part, toliberal churches that preached its message as if backed by the authority of God.

As you saw in Part 1, the Rockefellers and other powerful "change agents" fueled this movement. Their funding would swayuniversities, seminaries, and churches from coast to coast -- including the prominent Riverside Church in Manhattan.[11] Buby 1930 as a useful pulpit for the liberal teachings of pastor Harry Emerson Fosdick, it helped turn countless students from tnearby Union Theological Seminary into ardent promoters of the socialist agenda. According to Leonard Sweet, Fosdickviewed the Fabian Rauschenbusch as his hero.[12]

The Rockefeller Foundation, led by Fosdick's brother Raymond for three decades , [11] supported psycho-social researchthrough Hitler's eugenics program, through London's Tavistock Institute, and through various American Universities andinstitutions. This new "science" would raise propaganda, persuasion, and mind control to ever more sophisticated levels.

With Rockefellersupport, Rauschenbusch and his Fabian protg Rev. Harry Ward helped establish the Federal Council Churches (FCC) in 1908.[13]Rev. Ward, through his Soviet connections and influential positions, would become the mainsource of Communist infiltration into the FCC (later renamed NCC, National Council of Churches),Christian seminaries, andcompassionate unsuspecting pastors and congregations across the country. Hard to believe? Then look at the evidencebelow.

Communist Infiltration

The following testimonies were given under oath before the Committee on Un-American Activities of the U.S. House ofRepresentatives, 83rd Congress, in July, 1953.[14] Robert Kunzig, chief counsel for the committee, asked the questions.Manning Johnson, formerly a top member of the Communist Party, answered this particular set of questions.

KUNZIG: "...the name Harry Ward has appeared in so many of these various organizations and groups. It

seems as if there is almost an interlacing tie-up... through various sects and denominations. Have you anycomment to make on this situation?

JOHNSON: "Yes, I have. Dr. Harry F. Ward, for many years, has been the chief architect for Communistinfiltration and subversion in the religious field.

According to this Congressional Report, Harry Ward also taught "Christian ethics" at Union Theological Seminary [fundedthe Rockefellers], presided over the Federal Council of Churches, chaired the American Civil Liberties Union, andworkedwith the Y.M.C.A., Y.W.C.A. and the Interchurch World Movement. [15]

JOHNSON: "I would first like to read to you what William Z. Foster[General Secretary of the Communist Party

USA] has to say on this matter."

'Communists must ever be keen to cultivate the democratic spirit ofmutual tolerance among thereligious sects.... A still greater lesson for us to learn, however, is how to work freely withreligious strata for the accomplishment of democratic mass objectives....

'A very serious mistake of the American left wing during many years... has been its attemptarbitrarily to wave aside religious sentiments among the masses. Reactionary forces [mainlyconcerned Christians]have already known how to take advantage of this shortsighted sectarianerror.... 'In recent years, however, the Communist Party, with its policy of the outstretchedhand, has done much to overcome the harmful left-wing narrowness of former years and todevelop a more healthy cooperation with the religious masses....'

JOHNSON: "The Methodist Federation for Social Service or the Methodist Federation for Social Action, headedby the Rev. Harry F. Ward, whom I have already identified as a Party member, was invaluable to the CommunistParty... because through it the Party was able to get contacts with thousands of ministers all over thecountry.

"...quite a few ministers, for example, participated in the united front known as the American League AgainstWar and Fascism.... In fact, they were so deeply involved through Harry F. Ward that they became the

spokesmen -- the advocates, the builders, and the leaders of this most important Communist front thatengaged in everything from simple assault on a government to espionage, sabotage and the overthrow of theGovernment...."

Page 2228. Part of Manning Johnson's testimony was an article in the Daily Worker(5-7-53). This "Exhibit No. 21" reports oa dinner held in Dr. Ward's honor. Notice the name of Corliss Lamont who was introduced in Part 1 of this series:

"...New World Review, a progressive monthly devoted to circulating the truth about the Socialist and PeoplesDemocracies abroad... brought out several hundred friends and former students of Dr. Ward, and some ofthose who knew him well, like... Corliss Lamont [the communist son of Thomas Lamont, the head of the J. P.Morgan banking conglomerate]... told the others of how Dr. Wards teachings enriched them personally and howhis tremendous work forbrotherhood, peace, and justice has influenced the nation."

Page 2278.

KUNZIG: "...could you give us a summary of the overall manner in which the Communists have attempted toinfiltrate and poison the religious organizations of America wherever possible?"

JOHNSON: "Once the tactic of infiltrating religious organizations was set by the Kremlin, the actual mechanicsof implementing the 'new line' was a question of following the... church movement in Russia, where theCommunists discovered that the destruction of religion could proceed much faster through infiltration of thechurch by Communist agents operating within the church itself.

"...the infiltration tactic in this country would have to adapt itself to American conditions .... In the earlieststages it was determined that with only small forces available it would be necessary to concentrate Communistagents in the seminaries and divinity schools. The practical conclusion drawn by the Red leaders was that

these institutions would make it possible fora small Communist minority to influence the ideology of futureclergymen....

"...the idea was to divert the emphasis of clerical thinking from the spiritual to the material.... Instead ofemphasis towards the spiritual and matters of the soul, the new and heavy emphasis was to deal with thosematters which, in the main, led toward the Communist program of immediate demands [or "felt needs"]....

Does the last point sound familiar? It should to those who are concerned about the worldwide Purpose-Driven movement. FRick Warren prompted that same shift from "the spiritual" to "the material." As he told thousands of pastors around the worldthrough his "Ministry Toolbox" (link is now broken) the focus of his ministry has shifted from faith in God's Word to service tothe world:

"The first Reformation clarified what we believe. This reformation is all about how we act and operate in the

world. It involves the key components of purpose, decentralization, lay mobilization, use of technology, andcontinuous learning. Churches that change are thriving and growing more effective. Churches that refuse tochange will miss the reformation, and are dying."[16]

Not true! God's uncompromising and eternal Church can never die! As Jesus, the head of His Church, told His disciplesbefore His crucifixion, "My kingdom is not of this world." Nor are His followers "of the world!"Yet, He sends us "into the worlso that we, "speaking the truth in love," [17] may demonstrate His truth and love (notman's pragmatic ideals) to all who willhear.

"I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am notof the world.... Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." John 17:14,17

"...we have seen how Dr. Walter Rauschenbusch... and the leaders of the social-action movements in the

churches decided to do away with Christian individualism and turn to outright collectivism, using the church astheir instrument.... Religion was only a means toward achieving socialism. And, like all other false prophetswho have infiltrated religion through he centuries, [Rauschenbusch] used a 'front' or disguise. This disguise, aswe have seen, was 'The Kingdom of God.' Conspiracies have battered the Church for 2000 years -- just as God warned us. Ever since Jesus walked the narrow streetof Jerusalem, spiritual battles have challenged Christians to stand firm on His Word and resist the wide ways of the world.Today the battles rage as fiercely as ever.

The Social Gospel of the early 20th century shifted the focus of many church leaders from God's unchanging Word to theworld's pliable illusions. Socialist seminary professors, pragmatic pastors, and deluded idealists validated their visions withhand-picked Bible verses that "fit" their social message. "Offensive" words like sin and redemption were redefined,contextualized or ignored. No need for the cross, since all people were considered essentially good.

Naturally, as socialist ideals tore away at the old Biblical barriers to spiritual pluralism, the change process accelerated. Eve

"conservative" pastors -- like their purpose-driven guides -- began to view Christianity primarily as good "deeds, not creeds.

Transformational tactics

In Part 2, we documented these early strategies, patterned after the Kremlin's plan for the Soviet "church."

Infiltrate church institutions.

Adapt the Communist social campaign to America's unique beliefs, wants, and values.

Concentrate on seminaries where each new convert learns to influence thousands.

Divert the heart and purposes of the Church from the spiritual to the material.

Demonstrate tolerance toward beliefs and values that clash with God's Words.

"Its not just tolerance, its to go beyond tolerance, to principle pluralism, which... means no religion has a privilegedplace," said Richard Cizik, who represented the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) at the prestigious 2006 ClintonGlobal Initiative conference. "I would say one step even further, which is to say partnership.... The fundamentalists have apessimistic view of the future and they have this perception, unlike evangelicals and liberal Christians, that theres anunbridgeable divide between the believer and the unbeliever.... We dont believe that."[4]

Of course they don't. God's Word clashes with the world's vision ofpluralism! That's why Jesus said, "If you were of the worthe world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hateyou....If they persecuted Me they will persecute you... for they do not know the One who sent Me." John 15:19-20

The world readily accepts Christian love, charity, and willingness to serve the needy. It just can't accept the source of thatlove. It wants the fruit of God's Spirit but transplants its roots into the soil of humanism. To succeed in this assault, it fine-tunthe following strategies:

testimonies given by former Communist leaderManning Johnson before the Committee on Un-American Activities of theU.S. House of Representatives in 1953. Here are a few more:

"The plan was to make the seminaries the neck of a funnel through which thousands of potentialclergymen would issue forth, carrying with them, in varying degrees, an ideology and slant which would aid inneutralizing the anti-Communist character of the church and also to use the clergy to spearhead importantCommunist projects....

"This policy was successful beyond even Communist expectations. The combination of Communist clergymen,clergymen with a pro-Communist ideology, plus thousands of clergymen who were sold the principle ofconsidering Communist causes as progressive... furnished the Soviet apparatus with a machine which was usedas a religious cover for the overall Communist operation ."[5]

Of course, they wouldn't call it Communism. Words like compassion and world service felt far better.

2. Communitarian partnerships

Today, more than a decade after the supposed "death of Communism," a more pleasing version is rising like the mythicalphoenix out of its own ashes. It's new label? Communitarianism! Like the old system, this upgraded version would control thmasses through universal surveillance, personal data files, and a hierarchy of groups or councils (originally called soviets). already being marketed to the public as decentralized leadership, sustainable development, supportive networks, andvoluntary service.

Does it sound confusing? Here is a simple formula: Communitarian systems are based on networks of " partnerships" betwethe public sector (government), private sector (business) and social sector (civil society, including churches). In other word

social sector "volunteers" would serve the government (ultimately the UN agenda) providing most of the "social services"needed for the global welfare state.

The catch? The private and the social sectors must conform to the standards (personal, performance, development, etc.)determined by the public sector (the government). Instead ofowningeverything, it would just controleverything. Its standardalready include "mental health," which involve pluralistic guidelines forreligion and values." So within this "compassionate"and "tolerant" socialist system, Christians would no longer be free to serve God as He leads. And this is just the beginning!

As mass movements such as Rick Warren's Purpose-Driven PEACE Plan enter into partnerships with the United Nations,White House, CFR and other governmental and policy making institutions, they are pressed into an ever-changing consenspattern.[6] To continue their determined march toward "success" (based on unconditional relationships and measurableresults) they bind themselves to the evolving regulation of the global management system.

3. Collective thinking.

Purpose-Driven and Church Growth movements -- as well as the secular transformational networks driven by Peter Sengeand Peter Drucker -- emphasize relational vitality and collective thinking. As Manning Johnson testified, group thinking aninterdependent relationships are powerful weapons against individual resisters and a Bible-trained conscience:

"The Communists have an advantage in religious organizations due to the fact that their forces withinreligious groups are well organized as a totalitarian group . This gives this destructive element a greattactical advantage over all others in the religious organizations who deal with religion as individuals, operatingethics on the basis of an individual conscience before God...."

"Communist strategists counted the effectiveness of their forces not so much on numbers alone, but on theimportance of individuals loyal to communism in key spots where a small group can influence largenumbers.... Thus, one professorof divinity, lecturing to future clergymen, who in turn will preach tothousands of churchgoers, is, in the long run, more dangerous than 20 Red preachers, singing the praises ofcommunism from the pulpit....

"...if an infiltrated body has 1 per cent Communist Party members and 9 per cent Communist Partysympathizers, with well-rehearsed plans of action, they can effectively control the remaining 90 per cent whoact and think on an individual basis . In the large sections of the religious field, due to the ideological poisonwhich has been filtered in by Communists and pro-Communists through seminaries, the backlog of sympathizersand mental prisoners of Socialistic ideology is greater than the 10 percent necessary for effective control."[7]

4. Small groups and the dialectic process

To "control the remaining 90 per cent" who act and think on an individual basis, former Communist leaders assigned alltheisubjects -- workers, managers, prisoners and students -- to local "soviets" (groups or councils) where they were trained inGeorg Hegel's dialectic process. They had to

"Share" thoughts and notions. [Now cheered as "authenticity"]

"Confess" contrary attitudes. [Brainwashing and "Education Reform"]

Write "self-criticisms" for group evaluation. [When Iron Gates Yield]

"Celebrate" Communist ideals and heroes

"Commit" themselves to follow the group consensus.

Practice what the group (led by the facilitator) decides. [PRAXIS]

This dialectic process is now the centerpiece of the world's management systems. Designed to conform all minds to acommon vision and mission (purpose), it calls for ground rules that ban divisive truths but demand tolerance for the world's

corrupt values. [8]

This process was described in our article "Small Groups and the Dialectic Process," which summarizes the strategies taughin Leading Congregational Change (LCC). "This is a book you ought to read before you change anything," wrote Rick Warrein his hearty endorsement on the back cover.[9]

The LCCshows us that the dialectic group doesn't operate in a vacuum. It's part of a system that controls the plannedtransformation with vision-casting, team-building, top-down standards, force field analysis, capacity building, and servicelearning. To persuade church members to go along with the transformation, leaders must continually create tension througcrisis, thus arouse dissatisfaction. Forget God's call to "be content" in Him. That doesn't fit the plan for continual changethrough unceasing agitation.

This unbiblical program follows the same Total Quality Management model embraced by governments, corporations,education systems, the United Nations and other organizations around the world. Do you wonder where the Holy Spirit fits ithis scheme?

Written by James H. Furr, Mike Bonem, and Jim Herrington, the LCCwas published by Jossey-Bass, which works closely wthe Peter Drucker Foundation (renamed Leader to Leader). "We thank Rick Warren," it tells us, "for the opportunity to reachand refine our understanding of congregational transformation as part of Saddleback Valley Church's Purpose-Driven ChurcConference. ... We also saw many applications in Peter Senge's The Fifth Discipline...."[10]

When assigned to a group, members are encouraged to eat together, play together, serve the community together, and doshort-terms mission trips together. There's nothing wrong with Christian togetherness. But in this context -- created by trainefacilitator/leaders -- every event becomes a practice session (praxis) in group dialogue and "Repressive Tolerance." The latrefers to "intolerance against movements from the right, and toleration of movements from the left." [See "Cultural Marxism" an"Three kinds of group relationships."][11]

Resisting Deception

Well aware of the struggles and temptations His people would face, God gave us Scriptures that both warn and equip us.Here are three worth remembering:

"As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him andestablished in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheatyou through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principlesof the world, and not according to Christ." Colossians 2:6-9

"And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing ifhisministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to theirworks." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

But "thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren,be steadfast, immovable...." 1 Corinthians 15:56
