L4 - L5: U5: L6 - U6:

Full uniform.Full uniform and a black skirt suit for formal occasions. A black skirt, dress suit or plain tailored trousers.

Some things to remember:

• Watches, lacrosse sticks and tennis rackets should be engraved with the girls initials. At New Girls' Induction Day, in September, the girls can bring their lacrosse sticks and tennis rackets to be engraved by the PE Dept.

• We recommend that girls who require glasses for sport, wear contact lenses on the days they have sport or get a pair of sport goggles that fit over their glasses.

• Hair bands, if worn with school uniform, must be dark navy or black.

House ColoursEach Lower School pupil (L4 - U5) belongs to a house which has its own colour:

Sixth FormIn the Sixth Form, there are two houses: Holmes for L6 boarding and day students and Michell for U6 boarding and day students. The Sixth Form houses are not assigned house colours as they are not required to wear a formal school uniform. Please note that all new Sixth Form students must purchase a sports uniform.

The Uniform

Girls are expected to be well turned out, clean and tidy at all times. Girls in L4 - U5 should order their uniform via www.schoolblazer.com

• Register with your details and email address and create a password.

• Register your daughters details including their measurements (once you havefilled out these details these will then be saved on the system and you will not berequired to provide the information again).

• Click 'create your account'’and then you are ready to begin purchasing theuniform.

The School ShopThe Queen Anne's School Shop is run by Enterprise Ltd. Some accessories can be purchased from the shop, which can be found in school, located opposite classroom F.

School Shop Term Time Opening Hours:Monday - Friday: 12:00 - 13:30

Payment at the School ShopAll items must be paid for at the time of purchase by cheque or cash. The School Shop also stocks stationary, shampoo and other essential items. Within the shop there is a stock of second hand uniform. To enquire about stock please either email [email protected] during term time or call 0118 918 7400.

Purchasing Your Uniform

Uniform should be ordered from the Schoolblazer website: www.schoolblazer.com

To begin ordering the school uniform, parents will need to follow a few simple steps:

All items purchased from Schoolblazer will include a nametag. Any other itemsmust be clearly labelled.

• Geometry equipment - semi-circular protractor,compass and rulers (15cm and 30cm).

• School bag (of own choice).

• 1 padlock for House Locker (PE Department willsupply padlocks that are to be used for theirlocker in the Sports hall

• Bilingual Dictionary(for international students only).

Electrical AppliancesAll electrical appliances brought into the school must have a British Standard mark on the plug. All appliances will be checked for safety, including the above requirement. Approved plugs for use in the UK will be available from the School Shop.

Personal Effects insuranceGirls’ personal effects are not covered by the school's insurance policy and their belongings should therefore be covered by your own home "all-risks" or contents policy, or a specific insurance policy to cover your daughter’s possessions whilst at school.

Your daughter is covered by a Pupil's Personal Accident Insurance Scheme, which is managed by HSBC Insurance Brokers. This incurs no additional cost as the termly premium is incorporated in our current fee structure.

Additional Team Kit• Queen Anne's School long winter padded jacket, compulsory for 1st and 2nd

Senior Lacrosse and Netball teams and optional for all other teams. A sample willbe available on New Girls' Day and ordering details will be provided by the PEDepartment. Please be aware that these are a bespoke item and as such have along lead time of 3 - 4 months.

• Lacrosse stick and goggles must be purchased directly through UK Lacrossewww.uklacrosse.com and samples of these products will be available on NewGirls’ Day. Please select package A on the website under Women's Equipment.The goggles should be Cascade PolyArc in black and the stick a Brine Empresswhich comes in a range of colours.

• Specific dance uniform for ISTD Dance exams will be available on New Girls' Daywith samples.

Lacrosse Mouth GuardsIn accordance with guidelines issued by the governing body of sport, English Lacrosse, and recommendations from the British Dental Association, it is compulsory for girls at Queen Anne's School to have a mouth guard:

• We recommend a customised mouth guard. OPRO, the main suppliers, will visitQueen Anne’s School on New Girls’ Day and during the first week of theMichaelmas Term each year. Please download a mouth guard order form fromthe OPRO website www.opro.com and return the completed form at leastthree days in advance of the fitting session.- Alternatively girls can buy a non-customised mouthguard from any sports shop.For girls with brace, or girls who find the traditional mouthguard too chunky,SISU Mouthguard are available through Northern Soulsportswear.

• We recommend that girls who require glasses for sport, wear contact lenses onthe day they have sport or get a pair of sport goggles that fit over their glasses.

• Smart, office wear - a dark (black, navy, dark grey) plain skirt or plain dress or plain tailored trousers. Skirts should not be shorter than 4cm above the knee.

• A dark jacket, blazer, cardigan,, jumper with a collared shirt or a jumper with a suitable jacket (not necessarily a blazer, may be worn. Jumpers should be plain, dark colours and should not be of an excessively thick or 'chunky' style. Outside coats must not be worn in school.

• Any colour blouses/tops/scarves may be worn but strappy tops or hoodies are not permitted.

• Tights - both ordinary and opaque are allowed.

• None of the following are permitted: leggings, jeggings, denim, t-shirts, shorts or Ugg boots.

• Canvas shoes may be worn provided they are clean, smart and look suitable with your outfit; girls who do not meet these requirements will be asked to change their footwear. No flip-flops are permitted in the summer months.

• During the summer, jackets may be removed; however, you must have a suitable jacket, blazer, cardigan or jumper in school.

• For Art, you are allowed to bring in comfortable kit (leggings etc) which you can change into before your Art lesson and then change back afterwards.

Throughout the year • A smart black suit (jacket, skirt, trousers) or dress and suitable shoes are needed

for formal occasions e.g. open days and tours.

• School uniform kit is required for PE.

• Simple jewellery may be worn, but should be removed as required during lessons.

• Body piercings (other than ear lobes) and tattoos are not allowed.

Sixth Form Uniform List

In the Sixth Form, girls are not required to wear school uniform; however, they must wear suitable, smart clothing.
