oday we are celebrating the

Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord. The word

epiphany means "manifestation"

and in this case, it means that the baby

Jesus who was born in Bethlehem to save

the people of Israel, also manifests and

brings salvation for all the peoples of the

earth in the figure of the wise men who

came from distant countries to worship

the child. Just as the magi came

to Bethlehem guided by a star,

we also need the star of Bethlehem

to reach Jesus and that star is faith.

Let us be enlightened by the light of this

faith that we have received in Baptism and

with joy let us proclaim with our testimony

that Jesus was born in the Bethlehem of

our hearts, our homes and our community.

we will pray for the pilgrims who will travel

to Panama to participate in the World Youth Day

in the company of our Holy Father, Pope Francis.

Thirteen young adults from our parish, accompanied

by our youth director Leibniz Scottborgh,

will participate in this event.

por su asistencia a esta catequesis.

Preparación para el Matrimonio

La primera clase de este curso será

el domingo 27 de enero a las

2:00 de la tarde en el sótano del auditorio.

Es necesario inscribirse en la oficina parroquial

antes de participar en este curso.

Al ver la estrella, se llenaron de inmensa alegría.

Entraron en la casa, vieron al niño con María, su madre,

y, cayendo de rodillas, lo adoraron; después, abriendo

sus cofres, le ofrecieron regalos: oro, incienso y mirra. (Mateo 2,11)

oy estamos celebrando la Fiesta de la

Epifanía del Señor. La palabra epifanía

significa "manifestación" y en este caso,

se refiere a que el niño Jesús que nació

en Belén para salvar al pueblo de Israel,

también se manifiesta y trae la salvación

para todos los pueblos de la tierra en la figura

de los magos que vinieron desde países lejanos

a adorar al niño. Así como los magos llegaron

a Belén guiados por una estrella, también

nosotros necesitamos la estrella de Belén

para llegar hasta Jesús y esa estrella es la fe.

Dejémonos iluminar por la luz de esta fe que

hemos recibido en el Bautismo y con alegría

proclamemos con nuestro testimonio que Jesús

ha nacido en el Belén de nuestros corazones,

de nuestros hogares y de nuestra comunidad.
