PARISH FOOD PANTRY Non-perishable food is received before every Mass for the pantry, which is open Saturdays from 11:00am to 11:30am.

PALM SUNDAY OF THE PASSION OF OUR LORD

THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU

WEDNESDAYS OF LENT— 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM St. Paul’s and all the parishes and chapels of the Archdio-cese of Boston will be open during the Wednesdays of Lent, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm for Confession. Please visit www.TheLightIsOnForYou.org to help you prepare. It has info on how to make a good confession and answers to frequently-asked questions. Please make plans to come on Lenten Wednesdays and spread the word of this spe-cial outreach of mercy to those you know.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS Every Friday during Lent at 5:15 PM in the Church, we will be offering a Stations of the Cross service.

LENTEN GUIDELINES Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence. FASTING is to be observed by all 18 years of age and older, who have not yet celebrated their 59th birthday. One full meal is al-lowed. Two other meals, sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to each one’s needs, but together they should not equal another full meal. Eating between meals is not permitted, liquids, including milk & juices, are allowed. ABSTINENCE is observed by all 14 years of age and older. No meat is allowed. Note that when health or ability to work would be seriously affected, the law does not oblige. When in doubt concerning fast and absti-nence, the parish priest should be consulted.

The Clergy Health and Retirement Trust helps care for the health and well-being of our priests, ensuring an appropriate level of care and quality of life for the men who have dedicated their lives in service to our Archdiocese of Boston. CHRISM MASS There will only be an 8:00am Mass on Tuesday, March 22. The Chrism Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross at 11:00am this day. It is at this Mass, Car-dinal Seán will bless three oils — the oil of catechumens, the oil of the infirm, and holy chrism. These oils will be used in the administration of the sacraments throughout the year.

PARISH OFFICES CLOSED: FRIDAY, MARCH 25 Parish offices will be closed on Good Friday, March 25. Normal business hours resume on Monday, March 28.

FOOD PANTRY The number of people coming to the food pantry is in-creasing with as many as 70 customers in a single day. Your generosity keeps the pantry stocked and allows cus-tomers to choose items that they need. Popular items with limited stock at this time include cereal, oatmeal, crackers, juice, milk (Parmalat or powdered milk), white rice, and peanut butter. Thank you to all who donate food, money, or time to the food pantry.

EASTER FLOWER DONATIONS It has long been the custom here at St. Paul’s to request donations to help defray the cost for the plants and flow-ers that grace our beautiful church during the Easter sea-son. CENTERING PRAYER GROUP

The Centering Prayer Group meets Thursdays 6:30-8pm in Room 202. Our meetings include lectio divina, readings from Fr. Keating or the Christian mystics, followed by a period of centering prayer. We are reading "An Inner step toward God" by Fr. Alexander Men and will be starting Brother Lawrence's "The Practice of the Presence of God."

CARING FOR THE SOUL Caring for the Soul meets on the first Monday of the month at 5:30pm in Room 202. Caring for the Soul sup-ports those whose lives have been affected by Mental Ill-ness, and is working to make our religious communities places of compassion, healing and acceptance. All are wel-come. FIAT FOR DISCERNING WOMEN Fiat is a discernment group for single women in the Arch-diocese of Boston who are considering a vocation to reli-gious life.
