Tuscan Red with Dulux Gold letters. “PENNSYLVANIA” let- ters are stenciled across the top, centered under the roof. Built at the Altoona shops in 1926, this diner began life as #8000. Frigidaire air conditioning was installed in 1932. In 1946 it was renumbered to #4400 and was whitelined in 1959. Grand Trunk Western Road Number GTW 516772 Canadian National Road Number CN 117717 Postcard Series-Santa on the Line This 40’ standard box car with single door is painted brown with white lettering and green maple leaf logo. Built in 1957 by Pullman Standard as part of series 516600-516899 it ran on Bettendorf trucks. This 33’ panel side twin bay hopper is part of series 117600-117799 which was built in 1936 with flat sides and re-built in St. Albans, VT later that year, with panel sides. It is pained black with white lettering and ran on Bettendorf trucks. This car is the second of nine releases in the ‘Vintage Christmas Postcard Series’. The Santa Fe railway was widely known for its passenger train service in the first half of the 20th century. Santa Fe introduced many innovations in passenger rail travel. It was among the first to add dining cars to its passenger trains, begining in 1891.

This Heavyweight Diner Car is painted PRR Lt. Tuscan Red with Dulux Gold letters. “PENNSYLVANIA” let-ters are stenciled across the top, centered under the roof. Built at the Altoona shops in 1926, this diner began life as #8000. Frigidaire air conditioning was installed in 1932. In 1946 it was renumbered to #4400 and was whitelined in 1959.

Postcard Series-Santa on the Line

This 40’ standard box car with single door is painted brown with white lettering and green maple leaf logo. Built in 1957 by Pullman Standard as part of series 516600-516899 it ran on Bettendorf trucks.

This 33’ panel side twin bay hopper is part of series 117600-117799 which was built in 1936 with flat sides and re-built in St. Albans, VT later that year, with panel sides. It is pained black with white lettering and ran on Bettendorf trucks.

This car is the second of nine releases in the ‘Vintage Christmas Postcard Series’. This modified 40’ box car features vintage postcard artwork of Santa talking on the phone with a child on one side and a special postcard message from Micro-Trains on the other side.

This powered SW1500 locomotive is painted olive drab wtih gold stenciling and blue, red, white and gold U.S. Army Air corps logo. It features WWII nose art called “The Outlaw’. The road number 1945 was the year WWII ended.

This 50’ gondola with straight sides and drop ends is painted yellow with black lettering. 195 gondolas were built and delivered in the mid-1960s. They were numbered into series 81000-81194 and were delivered with steel floors and lading tie anchors. They were serviced and repainted in mid-1970s.

This 36’ riveted steel caboose with offset cupola is painted olive drab with gray cupola, and black roof. The grab handles are painted safety yellow. The sides bear the gold, white, red and blue logos of the United States Army Air Corps, the precursor to the U.S. Air Force. The Army Air Corps was, as the name suggests, originally part of the U.S. Army before becoming the forerunner for the newly formed USAF.

This 2-Bay covered hopper is painted gray with slant serif letters and black and red herald. Built in 1958 by GN at St. Cloud Shops it runs on Roller Bearing trucks. This series was purchased for cement service.
