CheckPoint Wireless Temperature Monitoring system has been designed to help the pharmacy meet USP, State Board of Pharmacy, and Joint Commission compliance and protect against product loss. Annual probe NIST re-calibration is simple. CheckPoint meets all pharmacy requirements with sensing capabilities for temperature, differential air pressure, particle count and others. The CheckPoint software has 11 built-in reports and numerous features to improve operating efficiency. CheckPoint is available in both 900 MHz and 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi options. Seamless integration with your Building Management System (BMS) and/or a distributed antenna system (DAS) is available.

Centralize temperature monitoring.

Simultaneously monitor both sections of a combo freezer and refrigerator unit

Simplified annual temperature probe re-calibration to NIST standards.

Prevent product loss due to a door accidentally left open.

FEATURE: All medication refrigerators and freezers in the pharmacy, nurse stations, clinics and anywhere else can be centrally monitored in real time and the data accessed from any computer.

FEATURE: A single sensor with two temperature probes can display both freezer and refrigerator temperatures on a combo unit as a single refrigeration appliance. Separate alert parameters can be set for each probe.

FEATURE: Tempsys is an A2LA accredited (ISO 17025) calibration lab, and all probes are calibrated and certified to NIST standards. When your annual re-calibration comes due, we ship you newly calibrated Snap Calibration probes with a NIST traceable Certificate of Calibration. Simply replace the probe on the sensor and your annual re-calibration requirement is met.

FEATURE: A refrigerator door left ajar is the most common cause of product loss. Every sensor is equipped with an optional door status sensing switch. If a door is left ajar, CheckPoint will trigger an alert before the temperature goes out of range.

Never lose data.

Meet USP 797 Pharmaceutical Compounding Sterile Preparation requirements.

Meet USP 797 requirements to monitor Airborne Particle Count for pharmaceutical compounding.

Immediate, repeating and escalating alerts.

FEATURE: If ever the server or network should fail, the CheckPoint Access Points will continue to collect and store data from all sensors. If the Access Point or repeater should fail, each sensor will individually store data for 30 days. As soon as the system is restored, the data will automatically upload to the database on the server. This built-in redundancy protects against data loss.

FEATURE: Differential Air Pressure sensor continuously monitors the difference in air pressure between 2 rooms. If the difference drops below 0.02-inch column water, a local audio-visual alert on both sides of the door will be immediately triggered, and at the same time CheckPoint will send an alert notification via email, text message, phone call or alert lamp.

FEATURE: Laser optical particle counter takes continuous real time data with counting sensitivity of 0.3, and a flow rate of 1.0 CFM (28.3 LPM). Other sensitivity settings are available. All historical data can be viewed as a chart or numeric table format.

FEATURE: If any appliance in the in-patient pharmacy, clinic, or patient floors should alert, an immediate alert is sent to your email, text message or mobile phone. An audio-visual flashing alert lamp can also be activated in the middle of the pharmacy to notify the staff. Lamps in different locations can be activated, such as pharmacy during working hours and engineering for after hours.

The CheckPoint software allows a schedule to be set up based on the day of the week and time of the day to activate lamps or send alert emails, text messages and make phone calls to different people at different times. If the alert is not addressed within a prescribed time limit, it will escalate over an unlimited number of alert notification groups, and can even loop back to re-notify the first group if the last group still did not take corrective action.

FEATURE: Just two AA alkaline batteries power the CheckPoint G4 sensors and will run for about 5 years. In the unlikely event that a sensor must be replaced, just replace the top half of the sensor with the bracket remaining on the appliance. The Snap Swap feature allows the new sensor to assume the ID on the bracket and continues to collect data without having to re-configure the software.

Easy to replace sensors or change batteries. 9.

Emergency Alert.

FEATURE: In addition to the standard min/max temperature alert limits with a time threshold, the CheckPoint software allows a secondary “emergency” temperature alert limit for each refrigerator or freezer. If the temperature exceeds the E-alert limit, the alert will be triggered immediately without waiting for the time threshold.

Suppress nuisance alerts.

Quickly review the temperature of all refrigerators and freezers daily.

Easily print temperature of all refrigerators and freezers at the same time every day.

Future proof your investment.

Interface with Fetch RTLS to track location of pumps and carts.

FEATURE: CheckPoint software can temporarily suppress both temperature and door open alerts for a designated time period while a refrigerator is being restocked. Typically the door is left open for a long period or the restocked products will temporarily raise the temperature inside the fridge. The alert suppression feature will suppress alerts for such known events and can be set up as a one-time or repeating occurrence.

FEATURE: The Daily Review Report is an on-demand report to capture the current temperature and status of all pharmacy appliances. Comments for any equipment can be added and then electronically signed and filed. A supervisor can later retrieve the file and sign off at any time.

FEATURE: Select the start date, end date and time of the day. The Time-of-Day Reading report will print a summarized report of the temperature of all appliances from historical data at the same time of the day for the month, week or any selected period.Color coding allows you to quickly review the daily temperatures to be in range, low or high.

FEATURE: CheckPoint sensors are designed for dual and triple sensing capabilities. CheckPoint 4~20 mA sensor can interface with other 3rd party sensing devices to meet practically any of your future needs.

FEATURE: CheckPoint runs on the same wireless network infrastructure as Fetch, the Real Time Location System, that is also manufactured and supported by Tempsys. Fetch allows you to quickly find and manage infusion pumps, crash carts and other critical devices that are constantly moving.
