Plant Genetics & Breeding Technologies IVModern Plant Genetics and Breeding are important factors for ensuring food security by developing new varieties that are higher-

yielding, resistant to pests and diseases, drought-resistant or regionally adapted to different environments and growing conditions.

Advances in Genetics and Genomics, Genome Editing and Engineering, Molecular biology, DNA sequencing and Information

Technologies have transformed our ability to track genetic variation and plant performance, making the process of plant breeding

radically faster and cheaper than ever before. New, innovative and robust technologies are emerging faster than ever before making

plant breeding a high tech discipline.

The 4th International Conference “Plant Genetics & Breeding Technologies” will bring together academy and industry to

highlight and evaluate modern Plant Genetics and Breeding Tools and Technologies, define perspectives and establish strong bridge

between academy and industry and multilateral collaborations.ts, improved transformation systems, address biosafety

considerations and develop GM crops for the benefit of developing countries.

The program of 4th International Conference “Plant Genetics & Breeding Technologies” combines plenary lectures, poster

sessions, a unique Conference Dinner Party and sightseeing tours of Vienna.

Vienna is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, situated in the heart of Europe. Due to its geographic and

geopolitical location, Vienna has become a popular conference place in recent years. Today, Vienna offers a range of sights from old

historical palaces, classical concerts and outstanding opera performances to typical Viennese coffee houses and restaurants – all

brought together in incomparable Viennese harmony. The International and Local Organizing Committees have compiled a well-

balanced agenda with state-of –the –art professional highlights and social events to be remembered.

Conference covers following topics:

Plant Genetic Resources & Natural Diversity

Plant Mutagenesis

Plant “OMICS”

Molecular Markers

Mapping & Map Based Cloning

Genomic Selection & Molecular Breeding

Genetics & Breeding of QTL and Useful Traits

Genome Editing & Biotechnology in Plant Breeding

Genome Sequencing in Plant Breeding
