Since 2001, he has obtained summary judgment or other favorable dispositive rulings in more than a dozen significant insurance cases. Mr. Strong also advises insurers regarding complex claim-handling and coverage decisions. This insurance counseling work includes advice regarding fraud-related claims; insurers’ duties of defense and indemnification, including in insufficient-limits situations; subrogation and stacking issues; and other coverage analysis. Mr. Strong has also handled a variety of other complex commercial disputes involving the consumer retail, car audio, mechanical engineering, construction, and commercial real-estate industries. These have included significant contract and real-property disputes; tort actions including claims of fraud, negligence, defamation, interference with contractual relations, trespass, and various theories of strict liability; and complex statutory claims including False Claims Act matters. Mr. Strong is a 1996 cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School. In 1993, he earned his undergraduate degree in Economics, summa cum laude, from Brigham Young University, where he was the valedictorian of the College of Social Sciences and Department of Economics.
