Pockets & Pies Apron PatternSupply List:

• 1 yard fabric• One standard kitchen towel (16" x 26")• Matching thread

Apron Assembly:Cut the one yard into: 2 - 4" x width of fabric strips (apron tie) 1 - 20" x 22" rectangle (apron front)

Throughout the pattern use matching thread and a walking foot. Sew with a 3.0 stitch length and backstitch at the beginning and end of each seam unless otherwise noted. Seam allowances will change throughout the pattern.

Place the folded Fabric on the right side of the towel, aligning the folded edge along the 9 ½" pin line. Pin in place.

With wrong sides facing, fold the 20" x 22" fabric rectangle in half. Folded Fabric should measure 11" x 20".

Measure 9 ½" from the bottom of the towel and mark each side with a pin.

Turn over the towel and trim the fabric 1" from the outside of the towel.

Pockets & Pies Apron PatternFold each raw edge of the Folded Fabric under ½" twice toward the back side of the towel. Pin in place.

Join the two 4" x width of fabric strips end to end on the diagonal and press open. Trim the ends of the strip so the edges are straight.

On the wrong side of the fabric strip, draw a line lengthwise through the center. Fold long edges to drawn line and press.

With a ¼" seam allowance, sew along three sides.

Mark two lines on the Folded Fabric piece, to form three pockets. Pockets should measure approximately 5 ¼" wide

Sew on the drawn lines.

Fold entire strip in half lengthwise and press.Center the apron tie along the folded edge of the towel and pin in place.

With a ¼" seam allowance, sew the folded strip closed along the three open sides.

Fold under ½" along the short edge of the fabric strip and press.

Working 16" from the bottom of the towel, fold the top of the towel to the back.

With an ¹⁄₈" seam allowance, sew the apron tie to the towel in a rectangular pattern on all four sides.
