DOWNTOWNCINEMA
The Downtown cinema project implements the concept of an urban theater in the downtown area of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Positioned on a samall lot on the corner of Third Street and Flori-da Boulevard, the theater is lo-cated in one of the most active areas of Baton Rouge’s nightlife. The cinema was designed to create a multi-level experience showcasing the adjacenty be-tweeen the outside views of the city and the tangible with the intagible that is the movie itself. Illuminating the night sky, the cinema complex aims to be-come an integral part within the develping culture and advanc-ing social structure of the Baton Rouge downtown area.

EDWARD KRUGHOUSE
The Edward Krug House is designed for the fictional charac-ters Edward Krug and his wife Clara dreamed up by author Paul Scheerbart in hisnovel The Grey Cloth. The novel fol-lows architect and former archeologist Edward Krug as he travels around the world by airship creating hisworks of glass architecture. The couple’s home in Switzerland is briefly de-scribed towards the end of the novel and served as a basis for the programmatic as well as thematic elements for the design. Keeping in tone with the fictional novel, the site is also fictional and was created through the process of paper making and using the paper to inform the details of the site. Inset within the side of a cliffthe design of the home became based on the adjacencies of light defined spaces and the paths that lead from one to the other. Two primary pathways were created to circulate throughout the building with one having an emphasis on the outside, while the other focused on the interior. Each pathway was designed to highlight the void between adjacent spaces and the ability to experi-ence them in tandem without actually entering into any of the spaces from these points. Through these pathways the experience of the Krug House becomes an exploration en-hanced by the potential discoveries along the way.

ART CONSERVATIONLAB
The Chinati Facility for Art Conservation is an additions to the pre-existing Chinati Founda-tion created by Donald Judd in Marfa, Texas. The building’s purpose is to provide a space near the artworks where conservation can occur while also adding another public area to the foundation in the form of a cafe. The design was interprested by invoking the three concepts of elevation, lighting, and drain-age to create a hierarchy of spaces and re-lationships. The site lays east of the Arena, a public space designed by Judd and west of an abandoned residence. The site creates a transition between the old and new by cre-ating a common ground between the two. The building is placed on axis created by the Arena and manipulates the exisitng path re-lating the two structures as a whole. Continu-ing the tradition and style of Donald Judd, the design remains minimalistic in its obstruc-tion to the pre-existing context of the Chinati Foundation.

DREAMERSSTUDIO
The Studio for Dreamers is a project de-signed to house eleven people for sev-en months to help inhibit the sleep pro-cess and create a space to encourage dreaming. The project design is largely influenced by the comic book “The Ad-ventures of Little Nemo in Slumber Land.” By incorporating dimensions of the comic strip along with a personal sense of sleep-ing, manifested in the orientation of a staircase, the design became a living staircase in which the spaces formed be-tween the treads became inhabitable. The building appears to grow as the in-habitant travels throughout it while the open structure reveals hints of the spaces left to be encountered. The experience the building invokes is one of explora-tion and curiosity with the purpose to help guests revert back to the safety and comfort of childhood inhibiting the sleep process.
RIVER ROADREVITALIZATION
The River Road Revitalization Project was a proposal proj-ect done while working for Campo/Designs Architects for the River Road Associa-tion. The proposal’s purpose was to design new facades for the stretch of River Road in Norco, Louisiana between Apple Street and Goodhope Street. The intent of the pro-posal was to bring back a historical context to the area that had been lost over time. By using historical references and main street precedents, the proposal attempts to ac-curately portray the lost con-text of this stretch of Norco while also creating a new vi-brant area to help revive a sense of community.
