§  Islamic finance operates by providing loans based on a leasing structure, so assets are purchased by the lender and leased to the borrower until the asset value plus a premium is paid off

§  Islamic finance is an asset backed lending structure and is safer than most lending formats, as recovery of assets is possible under default

§  Currently there is only one Islamic Finance P2P network in the middle east, with the European Islamic community underserved in this space

§  This asset backed structure would potentially result in lower costs for borrowers and safer returns for leasers, so this market has wider appeal

§  Crowdaura is currently working on developing this opportunity in the UK market for professionals who need to finance business assets
