What is the RI Teen Book Award?Promote quality literature for teens by highlighting well-written books of interest to middle and high school students. Allowing teens to select the winner from each year's list of nominees encourages them to read more and discuss the books with their friends and family at school, the local library, and at home.
How It Works
This year there were 38 members of the committee with librarians, teachers, reading specialists, and media specialists all representedThe committee is adjourned from September through March to compile the list of nominees based on the reading of suggested titles and discussions online and in meetingsAs you can imagine, there are some intense discussions.
And the Winner Is…Do you know which book won this year’s election?
