The RS 800 relies on the same ingenious measurement principle as its sister model, the RS 400 Scan-Densitometer. The compact measurement device is quickly guided by hand over the entire print control strip. Tracking wheels on the bottom of the device guarantee a straight run. The measurement device features a high-resolution, high-precision spectral engine. During the measurement process, this "spectropho- tometer on wheels" transmits measurement data to a connected Windows PC. Our Windows-program ExPresso Pro clearly displays transmitted measurement data. Since spectral measurement data is transmitted, it is also possible to analyze special colors. The spectral measurement principle calculates all significant quality data for process as well as spot colors such as density, dot gain and printing contrast. Thanks to the ink-zone specific display, printers can optimally fine-tune color control on printing presses for up to eight- colors. A trend function supplies information on the processing of a print job throughout the entire run. This lets you elaborate detailed evaluation records upon termination of a print job.
