The Mira Hong Kong Earns Wine Spectator Restaurant
Awards for WHISK & Cuisine Cuisine in 2017
14 July 2017, Hong Kong: For the third consecutive year The Mira Hong Kong has been
honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2017 Restaurant Awards at two of
its Michelin-recommended restaurants: ingredient driven Western concept WHISK, and
authentic Cantonese eatery Cuisine Cuisine. The restaurants are recognized among other
3,500 winners from all over the globe as top destinations for wine lovers. This season’s edition
of awards features 31 selections from Hong Kong.

wine becomes more important to diners, the Awards program is thriving—with an increasing

boutique wines and grower champagnes, as part of the
extensive wine program, both Cuisine Cuisine at The
Mira and WHISK regularly host wine dinners with some of

the world of fine wines, most recently Chateau Palmer
from Margaux in Bordeaux. We feel truly honored to be

Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the
world’s best wine lists in 1981. There are three levels: the
Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence
and the Grand Award—with 2,335; 1,168; and 89 winners
this year in each respective category.
Cuisine Cuisine at The Mira, featuring more than 380 picks with notable selection of
Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italian and Australian wines, won the Best of Award of Excellence
whose recipients offer more extensive selections with significant vintage depth and excellent
breadth across multiple regions.
WHISK, commanded for its strength in wines from France and Italy in its well-balanced 380
choices, won The Award of Excellence which recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature
a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both
price and style.

newsstands July 18, and online at Restaurants.WineSpectator.com, where visitors can search
and access exclusive content on the more than 3,500 restaurants. The full list is also available
for free on iOS via the Restaurant Awards app, which allows users to look for dining spots in
