Mevisto make gemstones from ashes or hair to create a precious memorial which is completely unique. Mevisto sapphires and rubies make a beautiful family heirloom which can be ordered as a seperate gemstone or set in a Mevisto custom design.

Various cuts and stone sizes are available. The process takes approximately 60 days. Mevisto proudly provides scientiic proof that the elements of your loved ones remains are present in the momento gemstone.

The feature stones are available in a choice of sapphire or ruby made using ashes or hair.

Size Guidelines

Adult urn - average height adult 2.8–3 Litres

Calculating ash is not an exact science and may vary slightly from one crematorium to the next.

As a general guide an adult under 6ft tall will in most cases fit in an urn that is 3Lt or 200 cubic inches

in capacity. The weight of the person and the coffin used does not effect the amount of ash remaining.

Height and bone density are the main factors in determining the amount of ashes which remain after

the cremation. If in doubt, ask the crematorium.

Ashes are in most cases available for collection 3-5 days after the cremation.

Adult urn - average height adult 2.8–3 Litres

Urns for children and babies please consult with the crematorium or funeral home to determine which

size urn to select.

How to order

SKU codes- please quote the SKU number when ordering. Note that the various lettering in the

SKU codes refer to sizes and will help determine if you have selected the correct urn for your needs.

A = Adult Urn. Approximately 3Lt in capacity.

M = Medium Urn. Medium urns will not hold the ashes of an adult. Sizes range from 400ml to 1Lt.

K = Keepsake Urn. Tiny urns for very small portion of ash. Capacity from 35ml to 60ml.
