How Does Your Media Product Represent Particular Social Groups

Young WomenIn our media product, our antagonist was a young woman, this is very common for a psychological horror film; she was in a calm, trance-like state.Usually, women in horror movies either fall victim and then become possessed, or are the antagonist from the beginning of a film, making a back story appropriate for the product. This allows films to develop prequels.

Religious Authorities Our main protagonist in our film sequence is Father Hope, the village priest. He is represented as calm, in control and collected at the beginning of the opening, yet as the opening progresses, he loses control and starts to panic, which is quite the opposite of what the public might think of a higher authority in this situation

The General Public

The general public is seen as very weak and vulnerable, we only see Fred for a short while, but the audience will understand that the general public (which is represented via Fred) are victims in this story, they are also represented as a minority, as there is only one victim that is not central to the story.
