The analysis was conducted in partnership with Siloxa Engineering AG. A few comments to put the results in context for correct interpretation: 1) Sampling The sampling was done by using a laboratory pump with a teflon coated pipe and pump surface. After purging the pump with air the sampling was effected at sampling point V2-P3 at 11.10am and at sampling point V2-P2 at 11.20am. Sampling point V2-P2 Sampling point V2-P3 2) Main components The residual pressure in the vent pipe appeared to be non-existent or extremely low and Vishan Singh from Envitech Solutions stated that the situation was very unusual based on his previous experience on that site. We are inclined to suggest that it is likely that air had entered the vent system from the outside through the stone drainage layer and became part of the gas mixture sampled from inside the vent piping system. 3) Concentration of H2S The highest ever recorded sample analysed by the laboratory is a hydrogen sulphide concentration of approx. 90,000 mg/m3 that was taken from a landfill site in Spain. The measured concentration of the two samples from the Shongweni landfill site are below the 90,000 mg/m3 but still unusually high. The hydrogen sulphide analysis was done in duplicate for both samples taken from the Shongweni landfill site. 4) Halogenated hydrocarbons, BTEX and long-chain hydrocabons (> n-Pentane) In general North American landfill gas samples appear to have higher levels of impurities than European results. The measured parameters around minor compounds of various hydrocarbons correspond with concentrations observed at North American landfill gas operations.

5) Methanol and ethanol No significant Methanol and Ethanol was found in the sampled gas. This corresponds with the laboratory results of other gas screenings as these elements occur very rarely in landfill gas. Kind regards,
