Feedback from ROLF Participants

Thank You all for your support of TSMO efforts and what you are doing to educate and help those of us working in the state D.O.T.s.
I really got a lot out of the ROLF. Thank you for facilitating good discussions.
Thank you for last week (very beneficial and enjoyed making new contacts) and for the resources. Thanks so much!
Thanks. Very Beneficial.
After the ROLF, one state felt it was so effective they are exploring hosting their own ROLF to expand TSMO knowledge and leadership within the DOT.
It was a great experience and the opportunity to network and learn about other agencies strengths and struggles.
The forum was good to gain a greater understanding of how other states incorporate TSMO into their program.
Improvements Implemented from Feedback Increase interagency interaction
Reduced number of sessions (from 6 optional subjects down to 3 or 4)
Increased group exercises (2 per day) and discussions (panels each day)
Interactive polls and a game Breakouts that mix participants from states
Streamline core material Combined Emerging Technologies and Systems Engineering Adapted to audience’s knowledge level and interest Developed discussion-oriented and example-oriented
presentations Group activities available for most subjects
11
Improvements Implemented from Feedback
Better understand and target participation to intended audience States share their TSMO inventories and challenges
beforehand
Panel discussions used for topics where many agencies have expertise

Other Responses:- Every year. I think the ROLF can benefit everyone from Entry Level to Senior
Management, and I feel there are enough of these personnel at agencies to keep attendance up for years.
- Every three plus years- Every two-to-three years (around the same timeframe as CMMs are updated)
