Chrism Mass – Mon. April 10, 2017 –Parishioners going to Richmond for the Chrism Mass, please meet in St. Peter’s parking lot at 12:30 p.m. Cars will depart promptly at 1:00 PM. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no Masses during the week of April 17 - April 21

st, 2017. The Parish Office will be also

closed during that time. Congratulations to the Franciscan Mystery Players for their performance of “Jesus the Healer” last Saturday, April 1

at 8:00 PM. The parishoners who attended this unique, prayerful, meditative portrayal, were truly moved by the experience. Please be generous in giving donations for Easter flowers for the altar. You can put your contribution in the collection basket on Sundays, labelled “Easter Flowers”, or drop your donation off at the Parish Office. Please be advised, the deadline for filled Rice Bowls to be returned, is today, Palm Sunday. Vocation Cross: It is the 10:30 Mass' turn for a family to take home the Vocation Cross for one week, to pray daily for vocations and for a deacon to help Fr. Roger in his priestly duties. Return the Cross the following Sunday and put it on the credence table in the Sanctuary. Religious Education Classes will not be held on April 9

th (Easter). Classes will resume on April 23

regular time. Parents of children receiving First Reconciliation need to remember that First Reconciliation is on April 22 (the Saturday after Easter). Confirmation class is cancelled Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. 33 Days to Morning Glory Small Group Retreat: The retreat will be held at St. Peter’s, April 10 - May 13, 2017. Join us for a 6-week small group-retreat and gain new insights into Marian Consecration. Learn how key saints and the blessed lived. For information call Tom Famulari at 757-678-0157. The Pregnancy Center’s Walk for Life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Onancock. The Pregnancy Center is extending an invitation to Saint Peter’s parishioners to again send a team of participants. The Ladies’ Auxiliary is offering an Annual Scholarship to a High School senior confirmed at St. Peter, St. Andrew or St. Charles Catholic churches. Applications must be received by April 15, 2017. Please see the bulletin Board for more details. The Knights of Columbus have available the Paul Braunstein Scholarship/Grant monies for the Youth of St. Peter the Apostle

Catholic Church that are planning to attend college in the fall. If your parents are registered at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and

you have an interest in applying for the Scholarship/Grant monies, the applications are available in the Parish Office. Applications must

be submitted to the Church Office by May 24, 2017.

Additional Announcements April 8-9, 2017

Donut and Bake Sale: On April 29 & 30 there will be a bake and donut sale at St. Peter’s after all Masses. The money will be used to purchase a new nativity scene for outside of our newly renovated church. PLEASE BRING BAKED GOODS DONATIONS to the church before all Masses. If you have any questions, please call Donna Custis at 442-5708. Ladies Auxiliary: Congratulations to Bernadette Tyson who was the lucky winner of the Easter Basket draw. On May 7th the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus will honor the Deceased Members of the Auxiliary at the 8:00 AM Mass, followed by a breakfast (restaurant to be determined). The Ladies will go to Heritage Hall in Nassawadox on Tuesday, April 11th, to distribute Easter baskets to the residents. We thank Irene Hlib for filling the baskets. Monastic Vocation: Are you considering a Monastic Vocation? Spend Easter Triduum with the Monks.
