Student Council will host Black and Orange Dress Day and an after school Bake Sale on Tuesday, October 29. Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences will be held this week at Immaculate Conception School. A conference appointment schedule was sent home on Monday. Conferences

will be held Thursday, October 31, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and Friday, November 1, between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Due to Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences, school Mass will be on Wednesday, October 30, at 9:00 a.m. this week. Students must wear full dress uniform for Mass on Wednesday. Mark your calendar for upcoming School fundraising events: Run with the Nuns-Jan. 25, 2020. and Golf Tournament on March 14, 2020 at Cocopah RV and Golf.

Dear Parishioners,

The Immaculate Conception celebration committee extends a special

invitation to our parishioners to join us in our annual bilingual Solemn Mass

celebrating our Patroness on Monday, December 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the main church.

One tradition of this community is the invitation for children ages 7-14 to

participate in the poem or prayer contest to crown our Blessed Mother.

A second beautiful tradition is the novena from November 29 through

December 7. The novena will be in the early evenings. A schedule will be provided in

future bulletin. We encourage everyone to join us; bring the whole family and remain

for some delicious treats!

We also invite you to our festival in honor of our Immaculate Conception

and Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday, December 8. We will have a great selection

of delicious food made by our ministries with entertainment for all ages.

In previous years, you our parishioners, have supported us with raffle ticket

sales for the celebration. We are very grateful and in need of your time and support

again. This weekend we will be handing out packets of 25 raffle tickets after all

Masses. All we are asking from you is your name and phone number. The raffle will

take place during the celebration. 1st place is $1,000, 2nd place is $500, and 3rd

place is $250 plus other prizes. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Thank you for your

FORMED BY FAITH is an opportunity and invitation to learn more about the beauty of our Catholic faith and to

encounter the person of Christ in His Word and Sacraments. As we grow in relationship with Our Lord, we are better

prepared to respond to our Baptismal call to holiness and discipleship. This program is not only for those seeking to

receive Level One Ministry Certification in the Diocese of Tucson, but also for those wishing to learn more about our

Catholic faith. Formed by Faith is for all Catholics in all parishes in the Yuma/LaPaz Vicariate. Sessions will be hosted at

St. John Neumann Parish on the second Saturday of each month from 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. through February 2020.

Registration for each session begins at 8:00 a.m. Topics covered include Liturgy and Sacraments, Fundamentals of Sacred Scripture,

Foundations of Catholic Theology, Christian Morality, Spirituality and Methodology of Catechesis. The next session will be held on Saturday,

invitación especial a nuestra tradicional celebración de nuestra Santa

Patrona con una Solemne Misa bilingüe el lunes, 9 de Diciembre, a las 6:30

p.m. en la iglesia Inmaculada Concepción.

Una de nuestras tradiciones es la invitación especial a todos los

Niños (as) de entre 7 a 14 años a participar en el concurso de un poema o

de una oración para coronar a nuestra Santísima Madre.

Nuestra novena es otra hermosa tradición que dará inicio el 29 de

Noviembre y concluirá el 7 de Diciembre. La novena será en la tarde.

Tendremos mas información en los próximos boletines. ¡Acompáñenos y

traiga a su familia! Después del rosario, los grupos parroquiales tendrán

deliciosos postres.

También los invitamos a nuestro festival en honor a Nuestra

Inmaculada Concepción y a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el domingo,8 de

diciembre. Habrá una gran selección de platillos de comida preparada por

nuestros ministerios, y entretenimiento para todas las edades.

En años anteriores, ustedes nuestros feligreses, nos han apoyado

con la venta de boletos para la rifa durante la celebración. Estamos muy

agradecidos y necesitamos su tiempo y apoyo de nuevo. Este fin de semana

repartiremos paquetes de 25 boletos para rifas después de todas las

Misas. Todo lo que le pedimos es su nombre y número de teléfono. La rifa

será durante la celebración. El primer lugar es de $1,000, segundo lugar es

de $500, y el tercer lugar $250 y otros premios. Los boletos cuestan $2 cada

uno o 3 por $5. Gracias por su generosidad y que Dios los bendiga.

“Would I like to crown the Blessed Mother?”

On December 9, at 6:30 p.m. our Parish will have a celebratory Mass for our patroness, Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception.

In keeping with our tradition, the IC Parish would again like to extend an invitation to the children ages 7-14 from our Parish to submit a personal poem or prayer dedicated to our Blessed Mother. We believe that through a life of prayer and devotion we build stronger families and, in turn, we leave a stronger foundation for our future generations. What a better way to start than with a personal prayer showing your devotion to the Blessed Mother. The girl whose poem or prayer wins the contest will have the privilege of crowning our Blessed Mother and the boy who wins will accompany her during the procession at our annual celebratory Mass. The Immaculate Conception celebration committee encourages all the Parish young ladies and men of our Parish to learn more about our patroness. Deadline for contest will be November 29.
