    Social Mobilization

Safwco has used social mobilization, since theinitial stage, as a tool to empower community toorganize them into self-governing groups, orcommunity organizations, and initiate andcontrol their own personal and communal

development. In this context a well developmentsocial mobilization model is followed. Socialmobilization model of the organizationencompasses dynamic and spacious communitypartaking as mandatory for gainingownership, in a way to make innovations notseen as externally imposed. Safwco believes thatunless the communities are well organized inthe form of organizations (VDOs), no

intercessions and initiatives can successfully befollowed for development at grassroots level
