The Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks & Recreation Department does not discriminate against race, gender, religion, or national origin.

FEE WAIVER POLICY

It is the policy of the parks and recreation department that no child be denied access to basic recreation services because of inability to pay. The department will consider fee waiver requests based on a family’s present financial status.

Parents/Guardians must complete the recreation scholarship request forms, provide the required support documentation, and pay the reduced registration fee (if approved) February 3-5 from 4 - 5:30 pm at the Honey Bowen Building. No exceptions.

Fee waiver requests will be taken for youth, ages 0 –17 years of age, for all recreation services.

REGISTRATION FEE POLICYFor all team sports, registrations after the set registration date will incur an additional $10 fee for processing team rosters. OUT OF COUNTY POLICYAll the participants living outside of Bulloch County registering for programs will be required to pay an additional $10.00 out-of-county fee for each activity, each season or month.

REFUND POLICYRefunds will not be issued for with-drawal from a program that meets the minimum enrollment require-ments set by the department, except in the following cases: Cancellation by the registrant prior to one week before the program starts will result in a full refund. Cancellation by registrant one week or less prior to the program starting date will result in a full refund minus a $3.00 ser-vice charge. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN AFTER A PROGRAM HAS STARTED.

AGE CONTROL DATE POLICY

Effective immediately, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS to the Age Control Dates for ANY sport.

No child will be allowed to play out of his or her age category.

Co-Ed Play T-Ball league meets twice per week. T-Ball is for first-year players. Rookie is a coach-pitch league. The Rookie league is designed for 6 year olds who have participated in T-Ball and also for first year 7 year olds.

Academy Soccer (Impact Team)The SBCPRD Academy Soccer Program provides competi-tive play against teams from around the state. If interested in participating with a team, please contact Chris Atkinson at 764-5637 for more information.

Three-Year-Old SoccerThis program helps 3-year-olds get ready for sports by using a step-by-step approach that builds confidence and self-esteem, while making it fun! A parent or guardian (over the age of 18) must be present and accompany child while participating in activity. Satur-days will be used for any make up day that is needed. Age 3 | 3vs3 | Thursdays | $65Child must be 3 by August 1, 2015 in order to participate.**

TumblingLearn basic tumbling skills along with the proper techniques. These are cheerleading-based classes for ages 3-12. Age control date is Septem-ber 1, 2015. Learn basic tumbling skills along with the proper tech-niques such as: flexibility, conditioning and strength training. Classes meet at the Honey Bowen Bldg.

Junior Golf Schools Local PGA Professionals will teach the proper etiquette and FUNdamentals of the game using SNAG, KwikGolf, and US Kids Equipment. Golf clubs are available for use. The sessions will be held at the Georgia Southern Uni-versity Golf Course and are open to beginners or experienced young golfers between the ages of 5-17 years old. Participants should wear golf or athletic shoes when attending. Each child is required to sign a waiver from the GSU golf course prior to participating.

Horseback Riding Lessons Lessons are for beginner to intermediate levels. Ages 5 - 18 (as of September 1, 2015) years old. Held at Fletcher Park on Lakeview Road. This class can get you started with the basics of good riding skills. You can also gain patience, compassion for another being, responsibility, sportsmanship, and pure enjoyment with the outdoors. Make sure to wear something comfortable, preferably pants or jeans and closed toe shoes (boots or tennis shoes). School System, Pre-K through 5th grade.

R.E.C.E.SAfter school care until 4 p.m., Recreation Education Care Every School Day (RECES) is available Monday through Friday beginning at 2:30 p.m.

SpecialistsSBCPRD strives to provide quality individualized care for children with disabilities based on the specific needs of the child. The “Specialists” program is an inclusive program, which meets in conjunction with the “Our Time” and R.E.C.E.S. programs. The “Specialists” program provides recreational and enrichment activities which allow children with disabil-ities to participate as they can, making adaptations and modifications to accommodate special needs. Fees for this program are the same as “Our Time” and R.E.C.E.S.

Sessions are on a weekly basis. Prepayment for

each session is required one week in advance. You may pre-pay for as many sessions as you

choose. The required reg-istration fee per child is non-transferable and

10 CAMP ADVENTURE & AQUATIC SPECIAL EVENTS

Camp Adventure DaysThe Statesboro Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department offers full day activities (7:50 a.m. - 6 p.m.) for children who are out of school for hol-idays and in-service days. This camp is held at the former Julia P Bryant El-ementary School on Stockyard Road in Statesboro. The upcoming full days include the following dates:

Springtime Made in the South- Join us on a trip to Savannah to an event filled with hand thrown pottery, jewelry, colorful purses, basketweaving, furniture, stained glass, and much more! Then onto lunch at Johnny Harris! February 19 Depart/Return: 9 am -3:30 pm Cost: $8, plus cost of the meal

Steeplechase Grill- Join us for Lunch with Friends as we visit what is deemed a “great find” in Vidalia! February 25 Depart/Return: 10:30am - 2 pm Cost: $6, plus cost of the meal
