Length of programme

A typical Scania Apprenticeship Programme lasts three years but apprentices may progress through the course faster dependent on the discipline chosen.

Many apprentices will spend up to eight weeks per year receiving off-the job training at the Scania Training Centre.

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs or SVQs in Scotland)

As part of their studies apprentices will be assessed in the workplace. Once they have proven their competence in the full range of skills required for their job they will achieve an NVQ qualification at either Level 2 or Level 3.

Courses available on the Scania Apprenticeship Programme

The Scania Apprenticeship Programme has been developed to offer seven disciplines*:

• Heavy vehicle technician

• Parts advisor

• Sales

• Customer care

• Business administration

• Team leading

• Management

*Available according to location

An apprenticeship scheme is one of the best ways to have first class on-the-job training and earn a regular wage. We will give you the chance to work for the Scania UK dealer network and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
