School Sport Premium Accountability – How we have used this Premium. High Quality Physical Education: Raising standards of all our children in Physical Education
Regular specialist support from qualified PE teachers and our qualified Sports Coach who works alongside teachers to achieve high quality teaching and learning lessons.
CPD opportunities for teachers in national and bespoke programmes in PE & sport:
P.E. Specialists – iPad course, KS1 SoW course, Athletics course and Assessing without Levels.
Burnley SSP CPD opportunities and training. All teachers are recommended to attend CPD courses created by the Burnley SSP.
Professional quality assured teaching modules & materials for P.E. and Sport.
New equipment is installed in school to give teachers and children the best opportunity to enjoy P.E.
Lancashire Scheme of Work.
The Lancashire Scheme of Work for KS1 and KS2 is utilised throughout the school. Class teacher are given a P.E. file with updated progressions of what is being taught at that present time, so the teacher and Sports Coach are working simultaneously.

Lesson observations, benchmarking through PE Specialists.
Support from SSCo from BTRCC (School Sports Partnership). Termly meeting with the SSCO to discuss the plan created at the beginning of the school year and how it can be maintained.
Sports Coach is observed frequently by a senior leader in the school and class teachers work alongside the Sports Coach to develop P.E. in the school.
Competitive School Sport: Increasing pupils’ participation in extra – curricular sport Inclusive competitive opportunities.
Change 4Life Festival
Attended every inclusion event created by the Burnley Schools Partnership.
Support with intra and inter school competition co-ordination and delivery.

As a school we aim to attend every competition created by the Burnley Schools Partnership. On some occasions we even bring both an A and B team.
Healthy Active Lifestyles: Ensuring all our children have access to regular exercise Change 4 Life club opportunities for less active young people.
Playground Young Sports Leaders in place, to encourage the younger children to be active during play times.
All after school clubs are made available to every child in the school.
Self – Review & Quality Assurance: Measuring the impact of Funding Monitoring of pupil progress through assessment in lessons. Each class are assessed throughout
the year.
Burnley Leisure Awards: Primary School of the Year for Sport in Burnley 2015.
School Games Kite Mark – monitoring competitive school sport. Gold award achieved. Our aim is to maintain this.
Monitoring outcome of competitions and recording on year – on – year improvements. We have been extremely successful in local competitions.
Sportshall Athletics: Burnley winners and represented the school at the Lancashire finals (2016).
Tag Rugby World Cup: Runners up in the Burnley Tag Rugby finals (2015).
Year 3/4 Mini Tennis: Burnley and Lancashire Champions at the Lancashire School Games in Blackpool (2015).
Burnley FC Football competition: Winners of their local competition and participating at the northern finals in Bolton (2016).
Tri-Golf: Burnley winners for the Tri-Golf championship (2014).
Non-Gymnast competition: Medals in the Year 2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 competitions.
Our aim as a school is to be as competitive as we possibly can be in competitions but also be respectful of both the opposition and officials.
Increase in number of children accessing after school sports clubs and children representing the school.
2014/2015 - Afterschool club percentage (both KS1 and KS2 children): 76% 2014/2015 - Representing the school percentage: KS 1: 34% and KS 2: 81% 2015/2016 (as of March 2016) - After school club percentage: 70% 2015/2016 (as of March 2016) – Representing the school percentage: 73% During 2016 we have plans to give each year group at least one after school club and create A, B and C teams across all the year groups to give all the children the best opportunity of representing and enjoying school sport.
Role of PE Subject Leader / Sports Coach Ensure Lancashire Scheme of Work is in place across both Key Stages.
With support monitor the teaching and assessment of the subject
