    Three Basic Needs: Two Dimensions

Expressedscore represents the personsmanifest behavior. It is overt, observablebehavior.

Wantedscores refer to what the personwants from other people in the areas ofinclusion, control, and affection.

What a person seeks is less directlyobservable but it is valuable information inunderstanding and predicting his/herbehavior

3-6You are pretty situational in these behaviors,

    displaying/wanting them with some people

7-9You express/want these behaviors with many

    FIRO - B

When you are aware of the behavior patterns

you can better decide when to act in your

normal way and when it seems more

    appropriate to act differently.

As you change your habits by making different

choices in your behavior, your FIRO scores will

    also change
