Mr. Vikas Rohal (Civil Engineering Department), Mr. Ajay (Civil Engineering Department) & Mr. Man-deep Kandol (AP, Mechanical) managed the whole industrial visit and said that Industrial visit is a part of a college curriculum, seen more often in an engineering course, during which students visit companies and get insight regarding the internal working environment of a plant as well as useful information related to the practical aspects of the educational course which cannot be visualized in lectures. The industrial visit is considered as one of the most tactical methods of teaching. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Visiting a company gives students a practical perspective on the world of work; it gives them exposure to current work prac-tices as opposed to possibly theoretical knowledge being taught at college. Finally, Memento was presented to Mrs. Ranjit Kaur (Manageing Director, Sugar Mill), Mr. Kartar Singh (Cane Manager Officer), Mr. Mahendra Kundu (Cane Promoter Officer) and Mr. Karamveer Singh (Security Officer) of Panipat Cooperative Sugar Mills. A Project Exhibition was organized in Samalkha Group of Institutions on 30th April 2015 for B.Tech ME final year students. On this Project Exhibition, Dr. Rajesh Goel, Director, SGI and experts were present to motivate the students. 78 students took part in the exhibition and displayed their projects. Each student described his/her work with the help of different means like charts and power-point presentations. Experts went to each desk and queried about the concept they highlighted. This event was planned for the one day and the students were found very excited during the event. This event proved itself as a source of motivation for the students 2nd and 3rd year of B.Tech (ME). Many projects as mentioned below were displayed on that day: DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF MOTORIZED OBJECT LIFTING SCREW JACK With the increase of technology, the efforts being put to produce any kind of work has been continu-ously decreasing This motorized object lifting screw jack was major application in this regard. Guided By: - Sunil Kumar (HOD, ME) SOLONOID CART This project was based on to find a new way to run the automobile. The use of compressed air was the important invention of this project. This cart could be used as an alternate for fossil fuels in automo-bile. Guided By: - Rohit Rawat (Assistant Professor, ME) MAGNETO RHEOLOGICAL BRAKING SYSTEM This project was based on the principle of electromechanical energy. This type of braking system really reduced the braking effort and also increased the control of the driver. Guided By: - Sachin Yadav (Assistant Professor, ME)

COLD STORAGE SYSTEM The basic principle behind the project was vapour compression system. It could be used to preserve the food items at a very low cost. Guided By: - Mr. Tushar (Assistant Professor, ME) REGENERATIVE BRAKING SYSTEM Regenerative Braking System is a new technique of using the energy that have been wasted to apply the brakes Guided By: - Er. Vikas Chander (Assistant Professor, ME) PADDLE OPERATED COOLING SYSTEM The principle behind this project is peltier effect mechanical energy is converted into electric energy. This energy is used to charge battery. The current is passed through the peltier plate to produce cooling effect Guided By: - Er. Dinesh Jain (Assistant Professor, ME) PNEUMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM As we know the automobile industry is growing very rapidly in our country. So the design and manu-facturing of automobile require a major change with a lot of innovative ideas. The project named Pneu-matic Braking System is providing new and economic ways of braking of the vehicle. Pneumatic Brak-ing System is design to maintain driver control and stability of car during emergency braking. In the Pneumatic Braking System the working is totally based on air pressure Guided By: - Er. Rajnish Kumar (Assistant Professor, ME) From the various projects displayed on that day the following were awarded as the best :
