ABC’s OF ROTARY

THE ROTARYFOUNDATION (TRF) It was Arch Klumph, father of The Rotary Foundation, who said, We should look at the foundation as being not something of today or tomorrow, but think of it in terms of the years and generations to come. That’s why the foundation’s permanent fund is considered the most important way to ensure the future of the Rotary’s educationsal and humanitarian programs. Contributions to this fund are invested for the future. Only the earnings of this investment are used to support the foundation’s programs. Ultimately, it is intended that the Permanent Fund will provide a steady and secure supplement to Foundation support, always guaranteeing a minimum level of program activity and allowing for the possibility of new and expanded programs in the future. The foundation gives special recognition to the donors to the Permanent Fund as Major Donors, Bequest Society Member and Benefactors. Major donors make gifts of $10,000 or more, Bequest Society Members include Permanent Fund in their estate plans for $10,000 or more, and Foundation Benefactors make provisions in their will for $1,000 or make an outright contribution of $1,000 to the Fund. These individuals are ensuring that The Rotary Foundation will remain a powerful force for good in the world far into the future.

* Entertainment* CONGRATULATIONS REAL

LOVE ME FOR WHAT I AM

We fell in love on the first night that we met

Together we’ve been happy, I have very few regrets

The ordinary problems have not been much to face

But lately little changes have been slowly taking place

You’re always finding something is wrong in what I do

But you can’t re-arrange my life because it pleases you…

(Chorus)You’ve got to love me for what I

am, for simply being meDon’t love me for what you intend

or hope that I would beAnd if you’re only using me to feed

your fantasyYou’re really not in love, so let me

go, I must be free…

If what you want isn’t natural for me

I wont pretend to keep you, what I am I have to be

The picture of perfection is only in your mind,

For all your expectations, love can never be designed

We either take each other for everything we are

Or leave the life we’ve made behind and make another start

(Repeat Chorus)

President’s Message By SVP Susan Ringol

How time flies! We’re

already on our 3rd month of this rotary year and there’s so much more

work to do. It’s crunch time now, we have to work double time to accomplish all our projects as planned. Following is a rundown of our projects for implementation: We have scheduled two book donations this month and probably we could finish the rest by next month. We will also have a meeting with Ms. Cotton Miller for the implementation of our partnership in literacy project at a public school in Taguig by October. Our medical and dental mission is also set for October, the specific date still to be confirmed. We will coordinate with Gawad Kalinga communities for the distribution of our Scholarship Grants to deserving students. Our selection period should be within the month of October and awarding will be by first week of November. We will follow up our application for the GCLim Foundation grant with the district office for our tree planting project in November. And for December, we have a feeding and gift giving schedule at He Cares Foundation. To fund these projects we have a Raffle for a Cause with the Asia Cruise as our grand prize and other vacation packages for major prizes. Therefore my friends, let’s sell those raffle tickets and implement our projects! The sooner, the better… Viva RC Makati Greenbelt!

Viva Rotary!
