Sunny Heights Families! It has been a very busy but a great November at Sunny Heights. Wednesday night I had the pleasure to represent Sunny Heights elementary at the Warren Township School Board meeting as we were the Showcase School. The school board got to hear about many of the great things happening here such as Spell Bowl, the Choir, Chess Club, Robotics Club, Field Trips, and many others. I was able to share our academic initiatives and supports that led Sunny Heights to the districts highest IREAD3 scores. We will continue our focus in order to achieve high scores again on IREAD3, as well as show significant growth on ISTEP this spring. Our choir closed out the Showcase with a great performance led by Mrs. Flannery. Dr. Cushenberry and the board were very impressed (as was I). Thank you to all the families that attended to support our students and school! The choir will be performing again at Tree Fest at the Warren PAC on November 22 nd at 5:30 p.m. Please join us for this or any of the other upcoming events celebrating what is great about Sunny Heights!
