St. Clare Parish has an Immediate Job Opening

Full-time Custodian: Join our team and help make our grounds and facilities clean, organized and welcoming. The Custodian will work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday to perform routine cleaning and janitorial work and to perform light maintenance work in parish buildings and on parish grounds. The Custodian will also set up and tear down furniture and equipment for events and meetings. This is an non-exempt, 35 hour per week position with full benefits. Starting pay is $13.00 an hour. A Grief Class for Recent Widows and Widowers

Dealing with the death of a spouse is difficult, especially in the first few years. This time period requires specific skills and support.

This 10-week class begins May 1, 10:00am-12:00 noon, and runs for 10 consecutive Mondays at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Rocklin. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Needed for ALL Weekend Masses

Here at St. Clare Parish we have an active, growing community of believers. We need more ministers to help serve our brothers and sisters Holy Communion.

Are you being called to this ministry? How many of you have heard God’s call and thought about responding to it?

The command of Jesus that believers “take and eat” takes on new meaning as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Do you know the criteria to serve? In order to be appointed as an EMHC, the following conditions must be met:

Be a registered member of the parish Be a catholic who has received the sacraments of Baptism,

Eucharist and Confirmation If married, be in a sacramental marriage or one officially

sanctioned by the Catholic Church. Be at least 16 years of age and mature enough to perform

the duties at mass. Prior to beginning EMHC ministry, receive training

which will be updated annually Be able to volunteer at least twice a month at weekend

liturgies

Have an active spiritual life with utmost reverence for the Eucharist

Be interested in bringing Holy Communion to the Homebound, Sick and those in care facilities as well as serving at Mass

Catholic Charities & Social Concerns presents:

Social Ministry Specialization Series La Salle/St. Francis rooms

The Department for Evangelization & Catechesis is offering a five-week Catholic Social Ministry Series at St. Clare. The five-week course will give a foundational understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and provide practical tips to be effective parish social ministers.

Course Schedule: Saturdays, April 27 through June 1 (Session 1 – 10:00am-12:00pm / Session 2 – 1:00-3:00pm)

Precious Blood Apostolate

Social Concerns Ministry News

April Collection: Men’s clothing (sizes medium and above), t-shirts, shorts and athletic shoes. We will also collect large tarps (any size). Your donations will be given to our local homeless brothers and sisters.

Marlene from Joshua’s House will speak at our next monthly meeting on Thursday, May 9 at 6:30pm in the LaSalle and St. Francis rooms. Joshua’s House will open in November and house 20 terminally ill homeless adults.

Deacon Ken’s Adult Faith Formation Seminar Series

Faithful Questions Tuesday, April 23 7:30pm in Morris Center

For April our topic is: What do eggs and bunnies have to do with the Resurrection?" Easter has many traditions. We will go through as many as possible to see what their history is and what connects them to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Each month, Deacon Ken covers a topic that many Catholics wonder about. Usually scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday each month, for April it will be the 4th Tuesday due to Holy Week activities.

The Knights’ Corner

Our Council is made up of Catholic gentleman whose primary goal is to use their various talents to build the Domestic Church. Do you suffer grief from a loss? St Clare Church is a caring community that wants to help you journey through this difficult time. We are here for you when you struggle with pain from loss and we will journey with you towards healing and wholeness.

Feast of the Divine Mercy Sunday, April 28

We will recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet 20 minutes before all Masses the weekend of April 27-28.

Saturday, April 27: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Veneration of the Image in the church from 9:30am-4:00pm.

Sunday, April: The Celebration begins with a Procession of the Blessed Sacrament and the Divine Mercy image at 3:00pm. Holy Hour and Benediction in the church is from 3:00-4:15pm and includes a Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, the Glorious Mysteries of the Holy Rosary and Veneration of the Holy Relics. A reception will follow at 4:30pm.

Prepare for this joyous celebration of God’s love by praying the 9-day Novena. The schedule is as follows:
