“Read Between the WINE’s” Summer Book Club: The Daughters of St. Paul and Pauline Books & Media will host WINE, Women in the New Evangelization and their Summer Book Club on Wednesdays, 2 pm, June 29th – August 31st at Pauline Book’s, 9804 Watson Rd. in Crestwood.
WINE is a creative and inspired ministry to invigorate Catholic women through encouraging, supporting, and nurturing them in their faith and by equipping and mobilizing them as intentional disciples of Jesus Christ. SPIN Retreat For Married Couples
Are you interested in growing closer to God and to each other as a married couple? Dr. John and Mary Jane Gresham will be leading a Spiritual Intimacy (SPIN) Marriage Retreat on August 12 through August 13. The retreat will teach, demonstrate, and give you opportunities to practice new ways to pray together as a couple. The 25 hour retreat begins Friday evening with registration at 6:30 PM and concludes with anticipatory Saturday mass at 7:30 PM. Criminal Justice Ministry Trivia Night
On Saturday, August 20, 2016, the Criminal Justice Ministry will host its 5th Annual Trivia Night at St. James the Greater Gym, 6401 Wade Avenue in Dogtown. Registration fee is $200 for a table of eight and includes beer and soda (outside food and drink also welcome). The doors will open at 6:00 pm, and trivia master Mark Arminio will kick off the questioning at 7:00 pm. This fun evening will also include plenty of games, raffles, and cash prizes. All proceeds benefit CJM, an independent non-profit organization affiliated with the Archdiocese of St. Louis serving individuals and families affected by crime and the criminal justice system. THE QUEENS OF SWING
The Queens of Swing is an All-girl band reminiscent of the 1940’s that combines music, history, and fun. They have performed at church groups, historical associations, and men and women’s clubs. They will be performing at St. Elizabeth’s on Thursday, July 7 at the Adult Social Club meeting. ALL ARE WELCOME to come, members and non-members, to hear the Queens of Swing. Do something different this summer, come for the fun. On Thursday, July7 beginning at 11:30 AM in the cafeteria we will celebrate the Adult Social Club’s Happy Birthday to ALL meeting. So no matter the month, no matter the date, we will celebrate your birthday with Birthday cake, TED DREWES, and the QUEENS OF SWING. No cost, free, free, free! Bring an hors d’oeuvre, a snack, or dip/chips to share. Call Mary Lou Par-sons, 849-1203 by July 4, or sign up on the sheet in the back of church so we will have enough for all.
