Sports day proved to be a happy and cheerful event with a mass of smiles and determination, and Speech Day was no exception to this rule. Pleased for those who achieved and determined to succeed next year the children applauded, laughed and were enthused throughout. Have a lovely summer holiday, it is much deserved, and please keep safe for your return in September. Friends of St Faiths I cant believe that the school year is over. It has been a real privilege to co chair the Friends this year with Vicky Crocker, and I am delighted to announce that the Friends have raised over £5,000 in total this year. Some of this money has already been spent on resources for the children, including new trumpets for the music department, headphones for the IT department and treats such as the Easter Disco. We have also been able to contribute to the first stages of the new school playground, with more works in the planning, so we hope that your children have already enjoyed some of the fruits of our labours. None of this would have been possible, however, without the help of the band of fabulous parents and teachers who give up their time (and money), to support our endeavours and Vicky and I would like to thank all of you. From Easter Bunnies, photographers, prize- donators, quizzers, fair stall operators, Father Christmases and helpful elves to barn-dancing hosts, planners and party goers, your support and hard work is truly appreciated and we hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have! Finally, I would like to wish you all a fantastic summer and hope that you are able to relax and recharge your batteries before the next school adventure in September. Good luck to those moving on and for those returning - we look forward to doing it all again next year! Best wishes Emma A wonderful finale to the Year with our Year 6 Play: Superstan Is it a bird? Is it a Plane? Noits Superstan! Year 6 all proved themselves to be closet superheroes in their end of term play: The Amazing Adventures of Superstan’. This colourful production featured a marathon-running gran with a fish in her trolley, minions hypnotised by gobstoppers and some anti-gravity underwear. Unmissable! House Treat Day...and the winners are Sycamore The long awaited House Treat day winners were announced on Friday! Sycamore earned the most House Points this term through good behaviour, taking part in extra-curricular events and showing consideration for others. They earned an astounding 1439 points! House treats this term were fun splash swimming with Mr Clark, Parachute games with Miss Arman, and Kwik Cricket with Mr Burrett – great fun was had by all! These activities were followed by a tasty lunch and playtime. Popcorn was later served during the showing of Early Manfrom Aardman. The house members were very excited about leaving the classroom for the morning – their hard house point earning paid off giving them a morning filled with fun activities and a little escapism!
