NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK

O God, Father of all Mer-cies, Provider of a bountiful Harvest, send Your Graces upon those You have called to gather the fruits of Your labor; preserve and strengthen them in their life-long service of you. Open the hearts of Your children that they may discern Your Holy Will; inspire in them a love and desire to surrender themselves to serving others in the name of Your son, Je-sus Christ. Teach all Your faithful to follow their respec-tive paths in life guided by Your Divine Word and Truth. Through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, all the Angels, and Saints, humbly hear our prayers and grant Your Church's needs, through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Second Annual Parish Day of Renewal

On Saturday, November 16, we are inviting all parish

volunteers, parishioners, and lay ecclesial ministers

be part of the movement of Unleash the Gospel. The

day will include keynote addresses from Sister Miri-

am James, SOLT and 4 tracks of breakout sessions.

These sessions will equip parishioners to live out Un-

leash the Gospel in their family and in their parish.

Each breakout track includes three sessions led by an

expert in the field. Attendees will leave with not only

knowledge in this area but ready-to-use tools to in-

corporate UTG into their parish or family. Each par-

ticipant must register for one track, which includes

three sessions. Visit pdr2019.eventbrite.com for more

information and to register.

Black Catholic Ministries

The Black Catholic Ministries Office is presenting “I Am Determined,” a Gos-pel experience featuring its Gospel Choir at Sacred Heart Church in Detroit this Sunday, November 3. For more than 30 years, the Black Cath-olic Ministries Gospel Choir has shared the Gospel message to all communities through the African culture. The choir is committed to prayer and the transform-ing power in song that leads people to Christ. CSA gifts support the Archdiocese of De-troit’s ministry and outreach to the African American community. The Office of Black Catholic Ministries is committed to improv-ing the spiritual and social needs of black Catholics and joining those needs with the mission of the Archdiocese — sharing Christ in and through the Church.

The “I Am Determined” concert begins at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth. For information about CSA-funded ministries, programs, and services, please go to aod.org.
