Handicapped Accessibility: none Continuing Education: yes St. Patrick’s Cathedral, dubbed America’s Parish Church, annually hosts more than five million people. Many visit as tourists, but many more participate in the life of the Church. The cathedral, which is the seat of the Archbishop of New York, is undertaking restoration in the midst of being an active church and tourist attraction. APT NYC 2013 Conference participants have a unique opportunity to tour the Cathedral, guided by the restoration consultant, design architect, and restoration contractor, to observe the ongoing restoration work. You will see this active and complex construction site in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, as well as learn the history of the physical church structure and the restoration project.
