These young fighters have won numerous awards and traveled across the country and abroad to compete in Kung Fu tournaments. j Filipino Youth Activities Drill Team – FYA Drill team performances are designed to edu- cate and to increase the public’s awareness of Filipino Americans and their heritage. j Kaze Daiko – This is a Japanese American performing taiko group for youth. KD strives to develop an appreciation of Japanese Ameri- can culture, history, and heritage. j Master David Leong’s Shaolin Kung Fu Academy – Master David Leong started Kung Fu training at the age of 6. His students focus on the style of Jung Keun, which is founded on the principles of strength, patience, and tradition. j Northwest Wushu – NW offers competitive and recreational wushu programs for children, teens, and adults. Its wushu programs develop fitness and health while improving self confi- dence, self esteem, and self discipline. j Seattle Wushu Center – Its mission is to provide instruction in the Chinese arts of Wushu and Taijiquan, to share the internal and external health benefits of Chinese Martial Arts, and to foster the sense of community within our city, school, and with other art methods. j Chinese Community Girls Drill Team – The drill team was founded to foster leadership skills, team building and pride in the Chinese cultural heritage. j Mak Fai Kung Fu Club – The club is an ancient, traditional form of Chinese self-defense. These young fighters have won numerous awards and traveled across the country and abroad to compete in Kung Fu tournaments.
