The British, European and American hardwoods we use at Treske come from sustainable forests where new trees are planted to re-stock areas that are felled. Most of the timbers used are Forestry Stewardship Council certified.

We hold the Manufacturing Guild Mark from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, awarded for excellence in British Furniture Manufacturing.

As our kitchens are built to last, we take great care when guiding our customers through the critically important selection and budgeting process. Worktops can be chosen from a wide range of granite, Silestone, Dekton, Corian and solid wood. We supply appliances from only the very best manufacturers. Your kitchen will be made by our cabinet makers in our own workshops in North Yorkshire. Treske’s skilled kitchen fitting team will then install your bespoke kitchen in your home. From classic styles to innovative hi-tech kitchen designs, we have years of experience in creating perfect custom-built kitchens.

MOORSIDEThe Moorside kitchen is a framed painted Shaker kitchen designed to meet the clients’ design brief and living requirements.

Situated at one end of a traditional and beautiful moorland long barn conversion, the kitchen uses mixed materials of wood, steel and glass to form a great blend within the open plan surroundings. Curved cabinets allow the light to flow around the kitchen and into the generous living space. Bespoke elements in the design includes a baking cupboard, butcher’s block and mantle designed to show the family blacksmith’s work.

The kitchen includes quality durable Dekton worksurfaces with Entzo for the full height splashback and Trilium for the large breakfast bar. Painted in Little Greene’s Sage Green and Tracery II, finishing touches include Wayland hand-beaten copper knobs, cup handles and hinges.

A light modern framed Shaker kitchen with a ‘freestanding feel’. The central focus of the kitchen is the bespoke island designed to sit alongside a wide oak beam in the room and angled to give a straight eyeline from the hob to the outdoors.

Tall housings with ovens and an American fridge freezer sit snugly inside an alcove in the space between the house’s timber framing, whilst the second tall unit bi-folds open to reveal a walk-in pantry. Soft feature curves in the room, including the oak breakfast bar top, are complemented by exquisite finishes including White Macaubas quartzite, Paint & Paper Library paint and polished cup handles.

HARLOWA stylish and practical space, with plenty of storage and a kitchen island, which is also integrated with the family snug area – these were important factors within the client brief for this kitchen. The kitchen uses a series of curves on each end of the island, and also includes a tall quadrant larder cupboard finishing off the run of cabinets from the sink.

The kitchen doors are ‘layon’ in a plain shaker style and are painted in Little Greene Urbane Grey as are the matching utility room cabinets. The breakfast bar surface is oak, while the rest of the kitchen has Steel Grey granite. The sink and tap are 1810, handles on the cabinets are from Crofts & Assinder and Neff appliances are used throughout.

HARROGATE

This framed and painted Shaker style kitchen is designed to fit within a long rectangular floor plan. The linear nature of the kitchen is softened with curves to create the different working areas. The island with an integral breakfast bar, sink and storage cupboards, complements the family dining area at the far end of the kitchen.

A peninsula complete with an oak butcher’s block, separates the dining from the cooking areas of the room and provides increased space for display and storage. An oak pull out wine rack faces the dining table. Further space is provided by a special larder cupboard with internal drawers, shelves and racks.

In the adjoining utility Treske made new cabinets to complement existing storage. The kitchen was hand painted in Little Greene Dark Lead and Inox and uses oak for the display mantle, cornice and island, with Silestone Lyra worksurfaces.

WETHERBY

Designed and made in a contemporary framed and painted Shaker style, full-length folding doors unify the inside kitchen and outside garden space. The central focal point of the island has under-rail LED lighting around the plinth to provide subtle illumination during evenings for this cool, perch dining area.

The main cabinet wall contains an American style fridge freezer and Miele appliances. The sink area has a mirror fitted behind the sink reflecting the garden space. A larder cupboard with carved lettering detail on the drawers, a cool granite worktop, and curved shelves for easy access provides balance to the wall cabinetry and was designed especially for this kitchen.

The kitchen was hand painted in a Farrow and Ball Plummett, but some feature drawer fronts were left with a clear finish over the wood. Stainless steel knobs and cup handles continue the modern contemporary feel.

A light and welcoming Arts and Crafts style kitchen with contrasting finishes. The kitchen perimeter, including well-lit glazed cabinets at each side of the sink, is hand painted in Little Greene China Clay Deep to give a warm light finish. A distinctive glazing bead detail is carried through to the other cabinet door panels around the kitchen. Generous canopies above the four oven Aga and Miele hob have feature corbel details to the cornice. At floor level a dark stained oak kickboard matches the central island, with painted and oak versions of the corbels set to the base of the cabinets. Over the hob a mirrored splashback is set between concealed shelves.

The central island, made in oak stained to accentuate the paintwork, contains a wide range of storage; drawers for pots and pans facing the Aga, a wine rack and cupboards are on opposite sides, while a curved built-in leather upholstered bench matches the shape of a bespoke Treske table, comfortably seating up to six. Treske Artisan Neva chairs are shown with the table.

DANBY

A beautiful, subtly designed painted kitchen and utility made in a plain Shaker style with American walnut used as a contrasting feature timber on the cornice and plinths. The full height storage conceals a fridge and additional storage within this spacious kitchen. The ovens are mounted under the River White granite worksurface and are directly facing the island end that contains cook book shelving.

The granite extends around the corner induction hob and its extractor, sweeping gracefully and creating a large working area around the sink. A wall cupboard and freestanding dresser with glazed display doors are also incorporated into the design.

The island also has a matching granite surface. An iroko wood surface inset into the granite defines the breakfast and dining area.

STOKESLEYThe gentle curves and traditional craftsmanship combined with excellent design make for a practical and beautiful kitchen. The kitchen layout is spacious but with a large amount of well organised storage in both the painted island and oak kitchen cabinets. The granite is shaped carefully, as are the cabinets, to accentuate one of the key visual features of room, the cast iron column supporting the ceiling.

The cooker is set forward from the back of the original chimney to give practical worksurfaces on each side of the appliance with a granite ledge behind. To the right of the cooker the surface was trimmed back to a standard worktop depth using a series of curves with curved cabinets underneath.

The island is painted in Little Greene Bone China Blue in contrast to the oak used in the rest of the kitchen. The island top is split into a breakfast bar area and a work area in Kashmir White granite with a round chopping board inserted adjacent to the sink and cooker. A freestanding bin is located below the chopping board.

Designed for a large extension that also houses the communal dining and relaxing areas of the house, this kitchen was made to reflect the open plan nature of this family living space and use of natural light. Within the open plan design, height is used at both the breakfast bar and opposite behind the induction hob to provide a definition of where the kitchen sits, as distinct from, but linked to the dining area, home office and snug areas.

Shaker style doors and panels, painted white with walnut detailing from the handles and in key revealed spaces such as within the larder cupboard and breakfast bar, give a pleasing contrast within the room. The main appliances and storage areas are situated within a run of tall cabinets. The level of storage within the kitchen is superb, and the design is softened through the use of radius corner posts.

MONTPELLIERThe latest addition to the Treske showroom, a striking contemporary kitchen with a mixture of materials and textures. Finishes include the sawn smoked oak striped doors with brass edge pull handles by Joseph Giles, set above mirrored plinths with dark oak frames and wall units, concrete doors on the tall housings and smoke grey mirror. The worksurfaces wrap around the ends in Arctic Ice Corian.

The kitchen features the latest in Blum technology with their Space Tower and motorized lift wall system for practical storage solutions. Adding to the sleek style is the Elica Nikolatesla venting hob, a space saving combination of induction hob and extractor.

Bespoke fitted bedrooms in beautiful natural hardwoods

Treske design and make bespoke bedrooms to exacting specifications, blending style and taste with creative storage, to create havens of tranquillity. The bedroom illustrated uses burr walnut book-matched veneer in combination with ripple sycamore veneer to provide practical storage and, concealed behind one door, a special dressing and make-up area. Mirrors are set at an angle on each side of the main window to reduce the impact of the wardrobes in the room and focus attention on the window. Freestanding furniture is made to match or chosen from one of our popular bedroom furniture designs.

Treske design home offices for each individual customer’s needs, whether for a desk to fit into a particular space or for a full home working environment. Every project requires practical and sympathetic design.

Homeworking presents the same requirements for efficient working conditions as any office, but there is a bonus: with Treske on board the worker can create for him or herself a thing of lasting beauty as well as a great place to work.

Here you can fully appreciate the fine design and craftsmanship of our kitchens and furniture along with the beautiful solid hardwoods and veneers we use. Our showrooms and workshops have ample car parking and are located just off the A61 to Ripon, adjacent to Thirsk railway station with good connections to London, York and Edinburgh, and further afield.
