Art CampsArt for Kids (Grades K-5) • $150 This class for the young artist will include painting on paper and canvas, drawing, papier-maché, etc. Please send along an old shirt for your child to wear as a smock, to protect their clothing.

You Gotta Have Art (Grades 4-9) • $150Do you love to create? In this art class you will work with papier-mˆaché, painting on canvas, drawing, and paper arts. All necessary materials will be provided in class, and you’ll have great projects to take home and display!

Photography: Landscapes, Portraits, Architecture and Nature (Grades 6-9) • $150

Bring a digital camera, iPod, or phone and learn about photo composition. Have fun with photo editing and create electronic files for a photo journal, photo calendar, or other photo projects in class. We will even have a gallery walk at the end of the week!

Book Art/Altered Books (Grades 5-9) • $150Develop your creative personal style as you turn an old hardcover book into your journal! In this journal we will scrape paint, collage, doodle, use gesso with stencils, and explore the techniques that resonate with you. Creating in this book will help you relax, make decisions, express your feelings, and experience the joy of just playing with different art supplies!

Students who have special needs are welcome to attend accompanied by an aide, but current camp staffing levels do not allow us to accommodate children who require us to provide a dedicated assistant.

Creative Writing (Grades 5-9) • $150

If you have ever dreamed of being an author, a poet, a playwright, or the next big song writer this is the class for you! Explore all of your writing passions while learning new skills, trying different techniques, and exploring how to express yourself through words! Writers of all levels are welcome.

Jewelry Making (Grades 5-9) • $150

Love to accessorize, but can’t find the perfect piece? Make it yourself! Projects for this camp include making a bracelet, earrings, necklace, pendant, and your own beads. Some color and jewelry design tips will be interwoven throughout the week. Create a beautiful wardrobe of jewelry that reflects your personal style and make a few extra pieces to give to your family and friends!

Sewing Level 1: Sewing Basics: Pillow Cases, Blankets and Pajamas(Grades 4-9) • $150

In this class you’ll learn different types of hand and machine sewing skills. Learn to sew a button, embellish fabric, and make several fabric projects, including a pillowcase, pajama bottoms, and a hand-tied fleece blanket.

Sewing Level 2: Make Your Own Clothes Thrift Store Edits (Grades 4-9) • $150

In this class you will take your sewing skills to a new level! Ever wondered how to alter a shirt, pants, skirt, or dress? In this class you will have the chance to make your own clothing as well as thrift for pieces to alter, sew, and embellish yourself!

Food and Cooking Camps Enjoy cooking at home or watching cooking shows and want to take your skills to the next level? Try one of our cooking or food blogging classes to turn your passion into a hobby, event or business! Includes cooking tools and supplies.

Food Blogging for Teens (Grades 5-9) • $150

Explore the restaurants and cafes of Monroe Street with a camera in hand! This class will focus on how to make a successful food blog and food photography tips!

Food Photography and Recipes for Kids(Grades K-5) • $150

Find and create your favorite recipes to share with friends and family! In this class kids will learn new recipes, share family recipes with others, and take photos of food. The class will produce a recipe book to take home at the end of the week!

Backyard BBQ (Grades K-9) • $150 Grilling and Summer Treats: It’s summertime which means it’s time to learn how to barbecue and make fun treats for a backyard party! All week we will learn new techniques for cooking and grilling all kinds of foods, as well as making some refreshing snacks! Grills and supplies provided. On the last day of camp we will have our own backyard BBQ! Families are invited!

Pinterest Baking Hacks (Grades K-9) • $150

Do you love baking? Does decorating cakes and cookies and making the fudgiest brownies and sweetest sweet treats sound fun to you? Then this is your class! Help us bake fun recipes and try out Pinterest hacks! Share your creations with friends at camp and bring some home for your family too!

Musical Theatre CampBegin with vocal warm ups and then learn to sing fun contemporary songs. Practice singing

in harmony with a group or prepare for your leading role in the next musical!

Musical Theatre/Choir (Grades 4-9) • $150/Session 1 or 2

Warm up your voice and run through some of your favorite show tunes when you sign up for this camp! This camp will meet for both the morning and afternoon session of both weeks so we will have enough time to put together a show! Come prepared to share your talent, work with others, and have fun producing, singing, and acting in a show! All levels are welcome!

Referee Training CampLearn the mechanics and positioning required to be a baseball umpire, or a basketball or football referee. Excellent way to make money giving back to the sport you love!

Being a Sports Official (Grades 6-9) • $150

Students will study all aspects of being a baseball umpire, or a basketball or football referee. Clinic will include mechanics and proper positioning. Excellent for the junior athlete or sideline fan who wants to eventually make some extra money, get paid for exercising, and give back to the games/sports that you love.

Science, & TechnologyFrom Minecraft to 3D printing your own projects, this is your place for all things building! Join us for video games, rocket camp, 3D printing, and Fun with Physics!

Fun With Physics (Grades 6-9) • $150

Students will be divided into age-appropriate groups to work on fun physics experiments. Projects will include egg drop experiments, bridge building, roller coaster building, and more! Depending on the age of enrolled students, your teacher will have teaching assistants to ensure that students of all ages will learn and enjoy the class.

3-D Printing (Grades 6-8) • $150

Students work with JavaScript, a commonly used programming language, which is versatile, powerful, and simple to learn. Throughout the course, students will learn to express their ideas mathematically to create three-dimensional models while acquiring a skill set with unlimited applications. We will use a 3D printer to turn the models into physical objects.

Level Up: Esports for Teens (Grades 6-9) • $150

Our Esports Camp will include all four games played in the Wisconsin High School Esports Association league: Overwatch, League of Legends, Smash Bros and Rocket League. Located in Edgewood’s gaming arena, all necessary equipment will be provided. For campers who want to compete in Overwatch/Rocket League, they will need to own a copy of the game and know their login and password information.

Blast Off Rocket Camp (Grades 4-9) • $150

Have you ever dreamed of working for NASA, going to space, or helping make some out of this world discoveries? In rocket camp you will learn all about the physics of how rockets shoot off and fly so high… and get to build your own rocket too! Compete against other people in your camp for whose rocket can fly the farthest, have the coolest gear, or stick the landing!

Health and Wellness CampsYoga, Meditation, and Journaling (Grades 4-9) • $150

Breathe easy and relax in this course meant for anyone who wants to explore health and wellness! All levels of yogis are welcome! Come chill out with us!

Biking and Kayaking (Grades 5-9) • $130

Do you love the outdoors? In this camp, you will bike, kayak, and explore Madison in ways you never have before! You’ll always have a journal on you to write down all you are learning about plants, animals, and ecosystems you didn’t even know were in your own backyard!

World Languages CampBasic French for World Travelers (Grades 7-9) • $150

In this crash course to introductory French, you will learn the basic language skills you need to travel to a French-speaking country—from basic introductions, to navigating the metro, buying lunch in an open air market or café, and more. Along the way, Madame will introduce you to many French-speaking cultures around the world. Expect a fun, high-energy week filled with interactive games, plenty of authentic resources, and the necessary language tools to jump-start your travels. “On y va!”

All Sports Camp (Grades 1-9) • $150 Boys and girls will take advantage of a variety of experiences in football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, and organized games. This popular camp is offered for students entering grades 1-9.

Basketball Camp Choose from four levels of camp: Basketball Camp (overall skills and strategies), Shooting & Ball Handling Camp, Advanced Skills Camp (offensive attack moves), and Defensive Skills Camp.

Dance Camp (Grades preK-7) This fun camp for boys and girls includes team and floor practice. Campers will practice a variety of skills and learn techniques for future dance team participation.

Football Camp (Grades 5-8) Basic football skills and Passing League games for boys and girls.

Ultimate Frisbee Camp (Grades 6-9) For students entering grades 6-10. This camp introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of the sport, including handling the disc, rules of the game, and working as a team.

Volleyball Camp We offer two levels of camp depending on grade level. Both camps offer skills and drills for player development. Campers will work on passing, hitting, serving, and setting.

Students who attend both morning and afternoon sessions of camp have the option of either bringing a cold lunch dailyor ordering hot lunch for the week. Hot lunch can be ordered as an add-on to morning camp registration.

Cost: $30 for the whole week! Sign up for lunch at the time of online registration.

HOT LUNCH MENU The menu is the same for both Session 1 and Session 2 Summer at the Edge camps .

Important Allergy Information: Our kitchen cannot provide gluten-free alternatives, and there are no substitutions on the menu, so if your child has a food allergy or special dietary needs, please plan to pack them cold lunch daily.

Many station rotation options to have fun and keep busy, including arts and crafts, story time, outside play time, board games, and movies.

After Care begins immediately following the afternoon camp session, and ends at 5:30pm. You must pick up your child by 5:30pm daily.

Register for After Care as an add-on to afternoon camp registration for a $50 additional fee.
